We recently stayed 2 nights at the Callater Lodge in Braemar. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners (Andy and Liz) upon arrival, they answered all of our questions about places to eat in the evening. Andy made some really great suggestions for places to walk. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good,... More

We had a very enjoyable (although short) stay at Callater Lodge in April. A lovely property in a convenient location with great surroundings. The owners are extremely welcoming and obliging. Our room faced to the front of the house and was spacious, clean and warm. We had a very enjoyable stay overall and, having stayed in other accomodation in the... More

This truly is a little gem. Callater Lodge is a beautiful place to stay. It is immaculate inside and out. The rooms are spotless and the gardens are lovely to relax in. Liz and Andy are really friendly and helpful hosts. Nothing is too much trouble and they have a good knowledge of the area and will advise on the... More

On arrival, a very warm welcome from Liz and Andy. Comfortable, warm and immaculately clean. Breakfast excellent with good variety and although no evening meals the snacks were all homemade and superb just what we needed after a day out. Their knowledge of the local area was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble. An all round very pleasant... More

We stayed here with children while ski-ing in Glenshee, and it made the ideal base for this trip. A friendly welcome, good local advice and tips, comfortable room and a great breakfast too. Liz was very helpful sorting out wi-fi when we needed it. Thoroughly recommended.

This is such a lovely B&B - our third stay and it has been consistently brilliant. It is immaculately clean and the proprietors are helpful, discrete and friendly. The breakfasts, especially the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon are by far the best I have ever experienced at a B&B. We had completed the Caledonian100 event and could not have had... More

We stayed here for three nights and would definitely stay again and recommend this to friends & family. Liz and Andy were great hosts and so helpful when it came to advice where to walk & printing off mountain weather reports, lending us maps and books etc. The room we had was lovely, from the decor to the crisp sheets... What a wonderful stay we had! We visited Braemar for the Highland Gathering (the annual highland games at which the Queen attends) as part of a short holiday to Scotland. The hotels location was easy to find as you enter the village from Glenshee. The hotel is well located on the edge of the village, being approximately a 10 minutes... More
