For hillwalking in the Cairngorm mountain area, Dalmore House in Braemar is conveniently situated. It is spotlessly clean and the hearty and tasty breakfasts set us up for the exertions of the day. Weather forecasting is not part of the usual service but on the day before foul weather on the hills, my friend and i were provided with an... More

I stayed at Dalmore House for threee nights and it was home from home. The room was clean, warm and cosy and the breakfasts were great. Richard and Marilyn couldn't do enough to make one's stay more welcome and comforting. Richard has a good knowledge of the local area and can advise on routes, times, weather conditions etc. They have... More

Even though we stayed only 1 night at Dalmore House, we can highly recommend it. Richard & Marilyn are super nice people and they serve a fantastic breakfast. The rooms are small but clean.

We stayed 3 nights in the self catering appartment which was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We felt at home immediatly and enjoyed catering for ourselves after 3 weeks of Hotels and B&B's. The Braemar Gathering was the highlight of our stay and only a few minuites walk away. The countryside around is stunning. Love to go back... More

We spent a few days in the self-catering flat in Dalmore House in August and we were very warmly welcomed. The flat is very cosy, well-equipped and comfortable. We had there everything we needed (at cold nights even the heating was on), and we were guarded by a very friendly dog. What is more, the House is situated in a... More

Clean and tidy good sized bedroom, Endless Tea and coffee (don't forget the biscuits) and superb breakfasts. Both were full of any information we required from walks , cycle routes, places to visit, history of Braemar even down to Scottish Country... More

Spent 4 nights in the self catering apartment with my elderly mother and it was perfect. Clean, comfortable and extremely friendly. Would recommend it and will definitely go back.
