Just back from a great week's stay with Shearing's coach holidays. The food was very good evening dinner and full breakfast, the staff served with a smile and could not have been more helpful, Everything in the dinning room ran well, under the eagle eye of Ian. Our room was huge with a sofa in a large bay window that had... More

We've just returned from a really enjoyable 5 day break in Braemar at the Invercauld Arms. The staff were all extremely helpful and pleasant and the choice of food on the menu was excellent, in fact the best short break we have had so far with Shearings.

Beautiful location, excellent staff and superb hospitality. Meals better than we've had in a 5* hotel. Highly recommend it.

Great food (even veggie sausages for breakfast), great service could not fault anything at the hotel. Hotel not very busy but the entertainment on the Friday night was good.

Just back from a brilliant week's stay with Shearing's coach holidays. The food was superb - 3 course evening dinner and full breakfast choice, all served by a young, friendly and helpful staff under the watchful eye of Ian the restaurant manager. Our room was huge with a sofa and twin beds overlooking the hotel entrance and hills beyond. We had... More

My wife and I went on a Shearings break to braemar and the Invercauld Arms. Having been on a break elsewhere with Shearings a few weeks earlier we thought we knew what to accept. While our previous break was good this one was exceptional. OK there was nothing much to do in Braemar itself after the 1/2 day walkabout but... More

We went on a 4 day midweek Shearings holiday, which we had done before and found the hotels to be very good. Overall the Invercauld Arms hotel was good, the staff were friendly and attentive. However we were allocated room number 11 which was gloomy even in the daytime to the extent we had to put the lights on to... More

With a little trepadation (after reading some of the more nagative views of the Invercauld Arms Hotel) we could not have been treated with more warmth and hospitality then from the staff and management, the hotel itself is a beautiful building, located in one of the most picturesque towns in Scotland. the room was imaculate with tea and coffee laid... We have just returned from a Shearing's 5 day Coast & Country Mid-week Break at the Invercauld Arms Hotel Braemar. We paid extra for a superior room (room 1) which was on the ground floor. I am not sure it was worth the £148 extra but it was a good room which looked as if it had been recently up-graded.... More
