Me and my husband recently stopped here for a night on our way to the Outer Hebridies. The owners were very welcoming and the rooms was perfect. Everything that you needed had been thought of and the fresh flowers in the room was a lovely touch. The breakfast was great and I particularly enjoyed the porridge with whiskey. I would... More

We recently found ourselves stormbound in Uig between Christmas and New Year. Our Ferry could not get into the port and thus we found ourselves without bed and board for the night. We had heard positive comments from friends about Alex and Fiona Hood from Cuild Lodge and thought we would call. Even although they were closed for the holidays... More

This is one of the best B&B's I ever had in Scotland. Nice place, beautiful and clean room, good breakfast, served on a slate, very original. The owners are such a lovely couple. I even had a scottish evening with them : scottish music, talks about rugby and football... really outstanding. Even the dog was named after the whisky island.... More

This is one of the best B&Bs in Scotland. The owners have a pride in what they do and staying here is truly five star and excellent value. We had the most wonderful visit and would definitely return. The room, breakfast with "Macallan" porrige ! and relaxing environment is simply outstanding. Uig Bay is an amazing place and Sue and... More

On arrival we recieved a warm and friendly welcome from Sue and Alex. They made us feel very special as it was the first day of our Honeymoon island hop. To compliment the excellent accomodation, they offer a wonderful transfer service (in this case to The Three Chimneys) which allowed us to enjoy the experience all the more. Rooms are... More

After a long journey from Edinburgh, we were warmly greeted by Cuil Lodge's owners, Alex and Sue Taylor, and offered tea. Both bedrooms--yes, there are only two--were immaculately clean and well appointed. The beds were comfortable, and the view of Uig Bay from the bedroom windows were spectacular. We really appreciated the modern bathrooms, with great showers! One bedroom is... More

Why is not every B&B like this??? Rooms were tidy, quiet, cosy, wonderfully furnished and spacious. Bathroom were tidy and we even had a bathtube. Breakfast was excellent, in quality and selection. Great scottish breakfast and you could add fresh (strawberry and raspberry) and dried fruits to your cereals. The B&B owner was friendly and helpful. This was one of... More

Very clean, tasteful interior, nice location with view on the bay of Uig; good base for exploring Skye's north! Hosts were friendly and discreet (to our taste may be even a bit too reserved).
