We recently stayed at the Toravaig on their New Year deal/package and thoroughly enjoyed everything about the experience (despite the horrendous weather but I guess you take your chances at that time of year!) and would highly recommend it to anyone planning to visit Skye next year. The staff really couldn't do any more for us from the delightful afternoon... More

For what it is it is very expensive. One thing that stands out and that is my wife and I are avid travelers and the word ´´ hotel`` as opposed to B&B and Guest House implies more extensive services. A warning to your readers there is no laundry nor dry cleaning neither in the hotel nor on the island!!!! Our... More

Recently, we spent five nights at this wonderful hotel -- a hotel that has the best shower in the world -- the best shower of any hotel, anywhere that we have ever stayed at! From the owners to the reception staff, everyone was welcoming and helpful in every way. Whatever request we had was met with kindness and enthusiasm. The... More

We spent a long weekend in the Toravaig and its sister hotel, the Duisdale, paying £1000+ in total for the trip and were shocked at our experience in the hotel. When we arrived at the Toravaig we were told that the room we had booked and paid a deposit for had been given to someone else who had arrived early... More

Dear JMLondon Thank you very much for taking the time to share your comments. We are disappointed that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. The room we had originally reserved for you was indeed booked for the date which we were not aware off due to a computer problem until the guests checked in earlier the very... More

We had a lovely two night stay in August. Good location, great food, and a nice wine list. But the hotel decor, level of luxury is not what you infer from the website. Big rooms, great loo but something is missing...At £200+/night it's expensive but that's probable what the Market is in Skye Not sure why people find the breakfast... More

Toravaig House was the last hotel we stayed at on our trip to London and Scotland and we had been looking forward to it. We had booked more than 8 months in advance ( and paid a substantial deposit) and I had specifically requested an ocean view room with two beds for my grandson and my daughter who were my... More

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. We are disappointed that your stay with us did not meet your expectations. In regards to your booking we would like to point out that we never had or have sea facing twin rooms in the hotel. We will take your comments on board, however, if you wish to discuss... More

As we only going to be in Skye for 1 night we decided to splash out and book Torvaig Hotel but were were disappointed. The hotel is beautifully situated and clean but the room was small, not what we were expecting especially not at the price! Breakfast was good but again a bit on the small side. Overall it is... Stayed for two nights. Room was tiny tiny, breakfast was so so and overall would not stay again. Staff were friendly and very helpful and location is great but overall would probably give it a miss and would not recommend. Rooms are incredibly small and somewhat outdated. Check out others first before you commit. More

In response to your comments, we would like to bring it to your attention that we are not a purpose built hotel and therefore there are a variety of room sizes although we would like to point out that the rooms are of an average size for the design of house built at the time in the Highlands of Scotland.... We stayed at the Toravaig House for my 60th birthday in June. First, the Isle of Skye is amazing....incredible scenery....really beautiful. Next, the food at the Toravaig House is simply amazing....we just came from another very expensive manor house on the mainland with fantastic food, and the Toravaig House surpassed it by quite a margin. Seriously, the food is fantastic.... More

Stayed one night at Toravaig in the Eriskay room. The room itself was lovely, nicely decorated with a comfortable sleigh bed, table and chairs, desk and modern bathroom with lovely powerful shower. What the website doesn't make obvious though is that the hotel is set right on the main road (although to be fair even a main road in Skye... More
