My wife and I have just enjoyed a fabulous meal for our wedding anniversary. We arrived in our boat after 4 days sailing and having per booked the meal we had arranged to use a bathroom to get a wash and brush up. We arrived to find that we were given the key to a double room where we had... More

Having visited Kinloch Lodge earlier this week for afternoon tea we were extremely disappointed at the attitude of a member of staff, who appeared to be in charge, when we requested to take the remainder of the cakes home (having already paid for them). This request was met with a very distainful attitude and the staff refused to package them... More

We are so sorry and horrified to read your review. We struggle to understand exactly what happened on the afternoon in question. Guests frequently ask to take part of their afternoon tea, chocolates and fudge or even a pudding home with them and we are all very used to packaging them up as a 'take-away' - I can only apologise... Stayed here for 3 nights and overall enjoyed it. The GPS did not know where it was so we had to make an intelligent guess. Food is fantastic but the room we had was pretty small and far too hot. If you open the window the midgies come in. Staff were first class though. If came again would request bigger... More

My sister has been dreaming of going to Scotland for decades so I finally put my foot down and made reservations . I picked this place because it seemed to be perfect for ambiance and what one thinks of when reads about Scotland. We were not disappointed with the location or the lodge. We had rooms 6 and 7 which... More

It was a real treat to stay once again at Kinloch Lodge and it was better then ever. When I arrived there was such a friendly atmosphere and all the staff were fantastic. Little did I know that they were all in on the surprise of my life, when my boyfriend proposed to me on the little pebble beach near... More

Got secretly married on Skye and for something special stayed here with 2 friends for our wedding night.Although slightly pricey I personally loved it.Thr reception rooms were comfortable and warm, although the sun was shining it was quite cold outside. We were greeted with a nice glass of bubbly and later before our meal we had cocktails which I must say were... Located on a quiet peninsula on the south end of Skye overlooking the mainland,  the setting is stunning. Dinner at Kinloch was fantastic and met expectations of a 1* restaurant, delicious from start to finish. The only confusing/irritating thing about the menu is their 'wine flights' which is their approach to wine pairing, but seems to cause more confusion and... More

We decided to spend the last night of our week in Skye at Kinloch lodge, together with our children (12 and 14). It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Sparkling wine was offered on arrival, and all the young staff were very friendly and professional - for example, they helpfully suggested that my daughter could have 'afternoon tea' at the dinner... The whole visit to Skye was lovely, even the weather was excellent apart from one 10 minute hailstorm. The hotel provided an experience to be remembered-the food was absolutely the best and the attention to detail wonderful. Nothing was too much bother for the staff, including dealing with my dietary requirements due to me having coeliac disease. All in all a superb... More

The approach to the lodge, passing a dreadful view of staff quarters (several old trailers and a chicken coop) was a real put-off. It was the first signal that this place needed some tender loving care. There was no staff immediately available in reception and a dilapidated very low contemporary sofa was not an inviting welcome in the reception room.... More
