We stayed 3 nights in this stunning location. It's hard to identify the best thing about Rowans - the large bedroom with every imaginable amenity; the tidy kitchen and dining area that allowed us to self-cater; the laundry and clothes line that were a welcome sight after weeks on the road; the AMAZING meals that Jenny cooked every night; the... Nice welcome, perfect accomodation, a right balance between do it yourself and external assistance, good advices on visiting the island. Jenny is a lovely host, made us feel very confortable and she prepared for us a very good dinner. Do not hesiate to ask for her own eggs and discover reality of taste. Also a large collection of DVD has... More

We fully enjoyed our stay at the Rowans. The apartment (bedroom, bath and a kitchenette with a small table) was perfect because it has its own entrance and you can come and go as you wish (not a lot of B&B have this benefit). The bedroom is very nicely furnished, has a great selection of DVD's to watch and a... More

This April trip was our second visit to the Rowans B&B. We love the fact that you can make your own breakfast with lovely free-range eggs which were supplied by Jenny. There was lovely home baked goodies everyday. There were enough food for the two of us for both breakfast and lunch during our entire stay. It was hard to... More

We stayed in 7 B&B's in Scotland over 19 days and The Rowans was our favorite. Jennie has thought of everything to make one's stay comfortable--from the plush bathrobes to homemade baked goods for taking on the day's outing. We wanted to hike while on Skye and couldn't have gotten better resources at a library. We found a dozen hiking/walking... More

We had hard time to find it- must say that we had not read the advices on the site- but were charmed by the location, the kindness of Jenny, the settong of appartment, and all the numerous accessories provided (nothing missing, even an ombrella!..). We strongly recommend the place rather for a long stay where independance is the key word.

My husband, little girl (23 months) and myself stayed at this amazing B&B for a weekend. We were looking to get away for a quiet break and were more than pleasantly surprised by this fantastic find. Everything was 1st class - food, towels, decor, bed (best nights sleep I've had in a very long time), home-baking... everything you could think... More

A B&B with a difference, in fact unique in our experience, more should do it, it beats the usual 7.30 to 8.30am breakfasts. 4 Stars do not do this B&B justice, it deserves more based on comfort, cleanliness, food (Homemade bread and cakes were perfect) etc etc etc. If we could find fault we would but we cant.

We stayed for 4 nights in August and from the moment we arrived we loved staying here. The furniture and soft furnishings were lovely, the beautiful towels changed EVERY day, the bed linen was changed after our 2nd night (AND it was crisp and white). The bed was enormous as it is 2 linked single beds, but we never noticed... More
