“Rustic, yet very good youth hostel in the middle of nature”

We stayed in various youth hostels (see my other reviews) on the Isle of Skye and we liked Glenbrittle most. It is in the middle of nature, far away from everything, and therefore a fantastic starting point for hikes. “Good basic, no frills hostel for walkers. Could do with smaller dorms”

This hostel is fine if you're a hiker or walker and you're used to basic youth hostel facilities. It's quite an old building and the dorms are quite big, and there are no small rooms for couples. It has a drying room and a laundry and the kitchen has everything you need for self catering. They don't sell much food... More
