well not very good i'm afraid. Staff ok, wanted to charge us £88 per single room and after negotiation we ended up paying £45 per room B&B. Maybe they gave us the worst rooms in the hotel after the price we paid and is on par with a hostel. The rooms are a little smelly and well I guess you... More

This is such a shame! The staff are great, very helpful but the rooms......well out of a group of 3 travelling on business.....we changed rooms several times. Book in straight forward and easy, everyone very helpful, the reception area is not bad. Lift up to the rooms, a bit scary due to the slight drop when you get to the... More

Food is very good within the hotel the day staff are well trained and polite. Management are very polite in and around the hotel and are pleased to see you. I was let down by the night porter service for sure. I have to score high due to the day staff at the hotel were very good but i would... More

You walk into a nice modern looking reception with friendly staff. You go up to your floor and are instantly taken back a couple of decades with the decor, a bit chilly as well. On entering the room it's basic, although clean and tidy, and has all that you need for a short stay. I'm convinced the windows in the... More

Like many hotels in Stornoway, the common areas of the hotel are refurbished and modern but rooms need updating. What sets this hotel apart from the rest is the food. Dont be put off by the words 'buffet' or 'carvery'. I find whats on offer to be exceptional in both selection and quality. There is also an a la carte... More

Staff were great. Room was average. Very overpriced for what we paid. Best thing about this hotel us it's proximity to the ferry.

I stopped here in November 2011 and have to say I was very disappointed. First impressions from the reception area showed a tired hotel in need of refurbishment, but worse was to come. I'd been given a room facing the rear of the hotel, presumably the view would have been so shocking I was spared it by the window being... More

Arrived at the Caladh Inn on a really wild night after crossing from Ullapool - quick check in and then down for dinner. The carvery is excellent and staff were extremely helpful, duty manager was an absolute gem. Breakfast was superb with the renound Stornoway black pudding taking top marks - even with our fellow travellers from south of the... More

My three friends and I stayed at the Caladh Inn for two nights whilst on a bus tour. We all wished it had been for longer but unfortunately we had to move on. The rooms were very pleasant although nothing special but the FOOD!! The evening meal was buffet style and every single item was absolutely excellent. The roast lamb... More
