A wonderful stay at an exceptional B&B. Andrew and Alison were more gracious hosts and made us feel at home immediately upon arrival. We had a very enjoyable time exploring the island of Islay and managed to check-out several of the finest malt distilleries in all of Scotland. Cheers to Andrew and Alison - best wishes in your new endeavors... More

Just got back from a lovely 4 day break on Islay staying at the Bowmore House B&B. The new owners Andrew and Alison made my stay very enjoyable and relaxing. I stayed in room 1 which had some spectacular views over the harbour. The room itself was spotless more than big enough and the bathroom was huge. I think most... More

The Bowmore House B&B was definitely the best B&B that I’ve stayed at, better service than most hotels. The owners (and their children) did a very good job to get us feeling comfortable. The room, bathroom and breakfast were superb. It is actually required that you have a good breakfast when you start drink whiskey at 10:30… More

We stayed for two nights at The Bowmore House in early September on a road trip to Islay & Jura, and it was wonderful! Andrew and Alison, who have recently taken over this venue, were charming hosts and gave us the most warm welcome, with every little detail covered. A pot of tea and biscuits on arrival were very welcome,... More

Just back from an excellent 2 night stay. The hosts could not have been more helpful and literally went the extra mile to ensure that we got the most from our visit to Islay. Andrew was particularly generous with his whisky and enormous calorific breakfasts! Although new to B&Bing, Andrew and Alison have exactly the right warm and welcoming approach... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Bowmore House and I must say it's the best accommodation I ever had. Andrew and Alison was really service minded and super friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and the breakfast was huge and tasted perfectly. I can highly recommend this B&B to anyone. More

I spent 2 nights at Bowmore House (not to be confused with the Bowmore Hotel which has a rocking bar and tends to get poor reviews) in mid-September while on a golf holiday to Scotland with a few friends. My friends all stayed at the Harbour Inn which they gave mixed reviews. I booked at the last minute and found... More

I and two work colleagues had a room each at Bowmore house, none of us would have any hesitation in rebooking a room here on our next trip to Islay. From the minute we entered we were made to feel very welcome “indeed due to the nature of our work we use hotels extensively and none of us have ever... More
