Overall a very good place to stay, with friendly and helpful hosts. Our room was clean, comfortable, warm and well equipped with a large kettle and good sized mugs to go with the tray of teabags, etc. The shower was good with a plentiful supply of hot water. Stayed here in June 2011. Very friendly people, who made us feel very welcome. Stayed in twin room - bathroom not ensuite but just across hall and for exclusive use, so no real problem. Downhill walk into town so older people might find it a bit far, but it's easy enough to park. Breakfast selection good and very enjoyable

We stayed for a week in July 2011 and were impressed at how clean our room was kept. Ideal place to stay to visit the rest of the highlands. My wife and I stayed for two nights. The house is within 10 minutes walking distance from the center of Fort Augustus. Nice room, full of little details. Excellent choice of breakfasts. And Caroline and Andy very friendly and nice people. Highly recommended!

Stunning surroundings, delicious breakfasts, helpful hosts, comfy spotless rooms. Loved being able to walk to the village and watch the activity of the locks just 10 minutes away. Altogether a relaxing and memorable stay.
