I arrived at this lovely B&B feeling a bit harrassed after a few difficult weeks at work. In no time at all I was well on my way to feeling very relaxed and well looked after in this very comfortable B&B run by a very considerate Dutch couple. Up sides: lovely breakfast with a good range of choices prepared to... More

We were met at the door by Bert after a very long journey and shown to our room then Bert brought home made shortbread and fresh milk for us. The room was lovely with antique French furniture - very tasteful. No TV, but it didn't matter - lovely lounge next door - again 'arts and crafts' style furniture and fittings.... More

Bert & Merjam opened their home to us as if we were old friends. When we arrived, Merjam met us with fresh baked Scottish shortbread and tea, then made us comfortable in our room. They were so accommodating -- offering travel advice to local sites, suggesting places to eat our evening meals, and making us feel so welcome with their... More

Mirjam and Bert did their best to make our stay perfect. They helped us get around, brought us maps and assisted in everything we asked. The room was lovely and breakfast was great with a wide selection. The house and garden are also lovely.

We were greeted at the door by our genial hosts who immediately showed us our rooms (we traveled with another couple). Ours was an en suite, upstairs at the end of the hall and was prettily furnished with antiques and and the finest bed linens we've ever slept in! My husband found the mattress rather hard, but I didn't mind.... More

We were welcomed by the very friendly owner after a long day walking. Delightful room and home baking .Our room was not en suite but the toilet and bathroom were next door - just as handy as en-suite. Lovely breakfast. Home cured bacon - not to be missed.

We stayed for 6 days at Knowle and experienced the hospitality from Bert & Miram as fantastic. The atmosphere and view from our room was great, looking over the glen Urquhart and Loch Ness was great, the very good maintained house in the for us typically British style we loved immidiately. The fact that much of the food was produced... More

Lovely and peaceful place to stay we had been working around Aberdeen for a few days and we were on our way back to Cairnryan to catch a ferry. It was the most relaxing B&B we have ever stayed in (and we have stayed in a few) , food was fresh and home grown, we were warmly welcomed into this... More
