We were staying nearby in a B&B and visited for the prize winning bar, recently voted the best for real ale in the Highlands & Islands. The beers were indeed excellent, several of them brewed on the premises and others from micro-breweries in Scotland and north of England. Some were strong, some less so, some dark, some amber - there...

we wanted to bypass the usual tourist places in the village so headed out to the Benleva. As real ale fans we were very glad we did. recommended pub.
Stayed here with my wife and German Shepheard "Thor" for 4 nights in April 2012.
We found the staff to be both friendly and helpfull, the food was good and the real ale superb.
The locals that came to the hotel bar (more village pub) were very friendly and chatty which real helps with the relaxing atmosphere generated by the...

We came up to Drumnadrochit for the very first Spring mini real ale festival being held at the Benleva, we were so glad that we could make it and we had a brilliant time (as usual).
The weather was abnormally warm for the first 4 days, great for doing some of the lovely walks around Drumnadrochit, then it started snowing,...

Stayed here for one night on part of a walking tour of the Great Glen Way with 3 friends.
Hotel looks and feels a bit dated and in need of a tidy up.
However the staff, food and bar were excellent.
The car of our support driver had broken down and was being fixed in Inverness. He asked the hotel...

We spent a long weekend at the Benleva Hotel with friends to visit the beer festival and Loch Ness. They'd discovered it the previous year and wanted to come back. Benleva is a pub with a few rooms upstairs. We were made to feel warmly welcome by the friendly and informal staff. I don't know how they managed to be...

We arrived on Friday Dec 30th in late afternoon and welcomed by Jay who showed us our room. Good size room, good bed and a spotless bathroom. Although we visited with family in the village we also spent a bit of time in the Hotel. Our hosts, Steve and Alan Crossland, were most helpful and friendly and nothing was too...

We have just visited our friend in Scotland who is local to the Benleva and regular frequenter of the pub. Having never visited Scotland before but only being limited to a day and a half this time round, we wanted to soak up as much as possible of the local culture. We arrived late in the evening after a bumpy...

Our room had a door to nowhere in it which scared me if I'm honest. The bed was very squeaky and the sound proofing between rooms was terrible. The service and the food in the pub were great though.
