Clean, but owner's wife in dirty jumper serving food. Food absolutely disgusting, cheap, pre packed, badly microwaved and overpriced. Would definitely not return.

I stayed for one night on business, and was generally very impressed. Great location on the beach with a bright resident's lounge that allows you to enjoy the view despite the unreliable local climate. I'd imagine all the rooms have a view of either the sea or Ben Bhraggie, the hill behind the town. welcome was friendly and the owners...

We stayed in September 2011 with our 11 month old daughter. We were taken to view the room before we stayed to make sure our travel cot would fit. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The evening meal, was dissapointing, but the breakfast was lovely. The owner has a vast DVD collection which he allows you to select from...

Very disappointing, great location and views and very clean, but the room was cold the one small radiator in the room was ineffectual and only every luke warm. The water pressure was very low and it barely trickled from the shower. Breakfast was ok but the evening meal menu was straight from plastic bags from the freezer - poor quality....

Room okay, but hotel lacks Highland hospitality. Food from microwave., poor menu and bar over priced. Would not go back
Pleasant, friendly welcome on arrival. Room was comfy and a good size with clean bathroom. Location is fantastic for a walk along the shore. Great sitting room also offers a brilliant view of the sea. Breakfast was good but dinner was usually re-heated frozen food. Vegetables in particular could have been much better. Stay in the hotel but eat elsewhere!
We could not reach Brora, on the East Coast of Sutherland, so we stopped en route and by chance found this little and cosy hotel, in an otherwise quite grim village.
Tha Hotel is clean and beautifully located by the sea. It has its own parking plus plenty of places just accross the road. THe room was correct, quite modern...

This hotel is better than some supposedly "high class" hotels and the rates are good. Our room was very clean and well appointed. There was a good choice of tea, coffee, etc. in the room and there was even an electric blanket provided. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We will be back!
we stayed one night last week, lovely setting by the shore. Room was clean and comfortable . Lounge spacious and lots of books to borrow, as well as usual TV and a bar with an outstanding range of Malt Whisky. Breakfast was fine. Conveniently placed if travelling further North. Recommended
on arrival we were met even though i gave no arrival time. our room was of a large size, clean and tidy . everything we needed was in the room. we ate dinner in the hotel and the food was lovely. hotel was quiet at night and we slept soundly. breakfast had plenty of choice and enjoyable.
