This is a good place to stay at for 1 or 2 nights. Maybe not the best place to stay more than 2 nights as the room walls are thin, there's noise and it's not like a 4 star or anything. But it's clean and landlords are nice people.

Made a visit to Wild Orchid for the second time, and again it was a fine place to stay in a very relaxed atmosphere. Situated close to the sea side, clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast was fine, landlord very helpful and positively promoting the Durness area and environment

Really, they do! This is the friendliest place I have stayed in for years, clean, with a great quality breakfast and you can hang out in the sitting room if you fancy company. We arrived on a stormy evening after hiking in North Highland gale force winds and rain. We were so welcomed. DVD of local area was offered on a comfy couch in the evening. A great breakfast the next day. Nick is a kind, thoughtful host who offers history and loads of good maps and ideas for day trips.

Durness can be a bleak place or a really dramatic place either way the welcome you receive at the Wild Orchard Guest house is warm and friendly and the rooms are nice and clean. the breakfast was plentiful and the owners were very attentive I would use it again

Helpful, welcoming owners, great location and good atmosphere. Spent 3 nights and found it suited our needs perfectly.

Happened on by chance, warm welcome given on arrival. We were Given a choice of room and shown were residents lounge and where to have breakfast. Comfy room very comfy pillows! Ample car parking and a good scottish breakfast to be had. Very congenial hosts. G & A Ross
