Having been turned away from another local we tried the Glenfarg after being put off for a few years by a change in ownership. When we arrived we found a warm local county hotle with wonderfully pleasant staff. The menu is what you would expect from a local inn and the choice was great. The service was very quick, the... If you are fussy about decor, carpets etc. don't book here. Staff very helpful but the plumbing pipes in the hotel are great for wakening you up at any time of night. We ate there on first night....don't go for chicken goujons...it's the air filled, mechanically retrieved cheap ones...no excuse for serving that really! beyond that, a good base, good... More

We enjoyed a one night stay at the Glenfarg while in the area for a wedding. We were greeted with a very warm welcome, even though we were looking to check in an hour early. We were shown to a lovely double room with spacious shower room, everything we needed for a short stay. We enjoyed a quick soup lunch-... More

Good wee hotel, well situated and well-priced to visit around the Perth area. Probably less than an hour's drive from St Andrews, Edinburgh, Stirling, Dunkeld etc. Hotel is a bit shabby - but functions well. Beds freshened, towels replaced and bathrooms cleaned well every day. Food pretty good all round - certainly one of the best cooked and seasoned sirloin... More

My business partner and I decided to try the Glenfarg Hotel as we had passed it often on the way to Perth. It always looked interesting from the outside. The menu was fine but when I was served crayfish tails for a prawn cocktail I was placed on gaurd. The dining room was exceptionally cold so the fire was lit... More

The Glenfarg hotel was very comfortable, friendly and welcoming. The staff were polite and accommodating. Our room (no.1) was clean, spacious, comfortable and relaxing. It was a quiet room on the first floor towards the back of the hotel. It had a large comfortable double bed, good storage space and TV. The bathroom was a good size and had a... More

We werent expecting alot as it was so cheap compared to other hotels, but we were very pleasantly surprised. We had a great evening. Looking for a stopover for one night before moving on to Edinburgh and liked the look of this hotel for a quiet relaxing evening - well we got that wrong. First of all the good points - Lovely old building in decent order and some lovely features with a nice dining area. Basic decent clean room , recently renovated bathroom... More

We visited this hotel whilst on business in the area. We were checked in, served at the bar, served in the restaurant by the same guy (he probably cooked our dinner as well- which was excellent). There were no lights in the corridors so everywhere was very dingy and slightly spooky. The rooms were quite dated- no duvet on the... More
