Had the pleasure of spending a night at No. 1 Broughton and what a treat! Beautiful room overlooking the bay with seals outside the window for good measure! Breakfast was delicious sat around the table sharing experiences with other travellers. A wonderful place to relax and get away from it all with a great host (Jerry) who really looked after... More

When we arrived, the landlord (Jerry) wasn't around, but had left a note on the door explaineng where the room and tea/coffee was, and to just make ourselves at home. Very easily done as the b&b has a really "homey" atmosphere. Clean, well looked after and air of someone taking pride in the place, it was a real find as... More

Our room was very spacious and was a really lovely, a nice mix of antique with traditonal set off with Jerry's wonderful art, very tasteful . The house has a gorgeous position overlooking the coast where the seals regularly loll about or frolick in the water, so it was a pleasure to return back each day to watch these from... More

We discovered this idyllic place 4 year ago and have returned every two years . I always said that I would never, with so much of the world to explore, return to the same place twice. That was until we arrived in Westray and stayed at the No 1 Broughton. The place has everything you would ever want if you... More

We spent a couple of days here, and the house is in a lovely spot right by the shoreline, where the seals take their leisure when the tide is out. The room was very comfortable and with good facilities, and the breakfast freshly cooked and enjoyable. Our only grouse was the noise from the room above; we heard the occupant... More

The room was absolutely beautiful with a glorious view over the bay. We sat in the window and watched the seals snoozing daily on the rocks waiting for the tide to come in. A delicious breakfast was served in a bright and cheerful conservatory. It was on Jerry's recommendation that we took the boat over to Papay Westray and he... More

We occupied the "attic rooms" which provide a separate sitting area. The spaceous bedroom has superb views (weather permitting) over the sea in three directions. The bed was comfortable and with effective window blinds enabled good nights' sleep. Breakfast was excellent. WiFi was available. We would have no hesitation in returning.

We were warmly welcomed here to a cosy and comfortable B&B by Jerry. It really feels like a welcoming and relaxed place to rest after a day out and about on Westray. It is located walking distance from the islands hotel where evening dinner is served. in fact there is (as far as I know) no where else to get... More

We had a warm welcome, a comfortable stay, and great cooked breakfasts - do try the Skipper's Muffin. Jerry isn't doing evening meals at the moment, but the Pierowall Hotel is only five minutes' walk away, and does fish that is fresh from the boat.
