We returned 12 months later - still nothing to criticise and so much to enjoy - wonderful situation, friendly and knowledgeable hosts, terrific breakfast, comfotable and quiet room. Can't wait to come back again.

Great location, right next to pier. Easy walk the short distance from the ferry pier. If driving, park in pier lot (pay and display) and walk over to the guesthouse. You need to ring the bell on the front door. The host will come out to you, direct you to longer term parking and to your room. We stayed in...

Our room was cozy, homey, and quite large. Breakfast was fantastic. The b&b was easy to find and convenient to all of Stromness. It's an easy drive to all of the neolithic sites as well.
Our return ferry to Scrabster departed at 6:30, so instead of breakfast Maureen packed us a lovely lunch to take with. She helped us book...

The location is extremely convenient to the ferry. The accomodations were comfortable, clean, and quiet. The breakfast made me feel like I was back in my grandmother's home. The food was great, especially the homemade jams. If only their wireless internet worked....
As an introduction to Orkney, Millers House couldn't be bettered - quiet, comfortable, welcoming, central and the breakfasts are beyond superlatives. We'll be back
I'm generally a bit wary of B&B's and "guest houses," but Miller's House was a relaxed, charming stay. Rooms are very private and comfortable (if perhaps a bit over-decorated), rates were very reasonable, and Mrs. and Mr. Dennison were wonderful hosts. They also provided one of the best breakfasts we had in Scotland. Location is something of a mixed blessing...

This B and B is right slap bang in the centre-handy for early buses. Our room was in the annexe. It was very comfortable, maybe a wee bit dated in decor but spotlessly clean.
But the ery best thing had to be the breakfast. Every morning there was homemade bread, and some other baked treat like scones or dumpling as...

very central to town - could be a bit noisy on a saturday night with people passing room window. Delicious breakfast. Friendly Orkadian proprietors, very knowledgeable of area.
Stayed wtih Magnus & Maureen Dennison at Miller's House for 4 nights in June 2010. They were very helpful in assisting my efforts to book a local tour then find a rental car - even made some phone calls for me. Our room on the 2nd floor was nice sized, comfortable & very clean. Breakfast was made to order and...

This was our eight visit to Stromness and for various reasons we decided to try this guest house- what a gem! Magnus and Maureen are the most genial hosts with lots of local knowledge...but then we are on a small island! The room was very spacious with fluffy towels and lots of hot water- I hate showers and love a...
