Last February we booked a stay here and arrived with a copy of the confirming email in hand only to find no record of the booking. The host did find us a room at the Ferry Inn nearby but at a higher rate and claimed that would have been the rate she'd have charged us had our room been available.... More

Our stay was really nice and the owners are perfect hosts. The room was clean and well-kept AND the breakfast delicious. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed our stay in Stromness.

I visit Orkney for business from time to time and since staying here when I first started about 5 years ago I have always stayed here. I agree with everything that Carol says, she and I were both there during the Tall Ships events which was fun. I usually write in the comments book but forgot! So friendly and welcoming.

If you are thinking of visiting Orkney...GO, it is fantastic. I you do visit you must stay in Stromness, a wonderful little town.
