We spent three nights here and enjoyed every minute. The service was friendly and very helpful. Fantastic views and a great base to explore from. The food is fairly basic pub grub and very tastey. The hotel is cosy rather than posh with a games room and the cooked breakfast is good and filling, don't be shy to ask for... More

We stayed for three nights at the end of April 2013. The staff were very helpful, it's beautifully clean and has a fantastic view. The food is farily basic but very tastey and a wonderful atmosphere. Had a brilliant time. Perfect base to explore the North End of Arran and Kintyre.

We had a lovely time on holiday. The oweners and staff looked after us really well. Beautiful place to visit and would recommend the hotel to other families. The breakfasts were really delicious and a great start to each day!

Stopped in the Lochranza Hotel for some food and drinks. The food is typical pub fair - reasonable quality but maybe a touch pricy for pub food (almost a tenner for a veggie burger, chips and salad). Okay selection of beers (one real ale on tap - shame the local Arran beers are only available by bottle) and an amazing... More

We stayed on Arran for 2 days 1 night and ate at the Lochranza Hotel for lunch and dinner. We didn't stay at the hotel so we can't comment on the accommodation offered however the food was amazing! The prices are average for lunch/dinner menu with a decent amount of variety offered. They had food available quite late which was... More

Second night on our coastal path walk. Found this hotel to be very expensive for what was on offer. Very small room. Also we were particulary unlucky in that there was some sort of vey noisy party right outside our window which did not finish to 2:45 YES thats a quarter to three in the morning. Proprietor very apologetic in... More

We know Arran very well. the Lochranza hotel has been there forever & hopefully it will be. However on a weeks holiday staying in the wonderful number 11 Apostles in Catacol we drove passed on a nightly basis to other places which were cheaper for alcohol (you are 20p a pint of lager dearer than other places) and understand, like... We stayed 3 nights at Lochranza. Food was great, rooms were lovely and clean. Awesome location and watching the squirrels playing outside our window was a treat. The barman with longer hair was very good at his job as was the breakfast waiter, but the other guy was dreadful. Surly, grumpy, very sloppy at his job. He let this lovely... More

We only went to eat there because the good restaurant was fully booked. The guy was so rude I actually thought he was joking at first! He ignored our questions, not a single hint of a smile or any sort of welcome, just grunts. It was embarrassing!!! If the food had been reasonably priced I might have forgiven it but... More
