We're not frequent residents, but we are frequent visitors. As residents we had a nice clean room, good shower, everything worked - did what it says on tin etc. As visitors (we normally rent a flat), it suits us perfectly - good food, great ale, and we love the live, impromptu music. A cosy bar with open fire. Choice of 3 ales most nights and the cheapest found on the island. Good selection of no nonsense pub food including veggie options. Staff friendly and helpful especially the landlord. Ideal venue for a pint and food after a long hike. More

My wife and I stay here every year at Easter and always find the rooms nice and clean with great views. I can't comment on the breakfasts as it's a meal I haven't had since the late 1970s but the evening meals are fabulous - exactly what's required after a day of walking and a great selection.
