Visited on 13th May as birthday treat for my daughter (six of us). Service was poor, took over ten minutes to bring our drinks order. Had to ask for menus. After main meal, and plates cleared away, had to ask for tea/coffee to be brought. Selection of small cakes very poor (choice of 4 items) and scones were stale &... More

I apologise for the delay in the drinks and the menus, this is at present being dealt with. Regarding the scones, I can assure you that they were freshly made on Sunday morning as they made me late for an appointment. Please come back and give us another chance. More

Ian and Lynn Kubath would like to say a special thank you to Jane and Nial the owners of the Cedar Inn for making our wedding day beautiful. We were spoiled from the moment we arrived by lovely staff, who went out of their way to make us comfortable. Our wedding day breakfast was delicious, and after saying our vows... More

We're just back from a two night stay at the Cedar Inn, Aberdour, for the wedding of my best friends. They chose the inn as it is close to the Black Sands beach where the wedding took place. It was a small affair, just the bride and groom, myself, my partner (also photographer & hairdresser for the day) and our... More

Booked last minute for Hogmannay and was very impressed with the whole evening. The food was wonderful and the new owners and their staff very helpful. Tried to find out what Valentines Day menu was but despite telephoning several times nobody I spoke to knew what was going on and although leaving my name and number no one got back.... More

Had a meal here on 3 occasions and found it very good. The staff and regulars are very friendly and I must mention the chef as well, he is very friendly and goes out his way to make your meal special. On first visit there for a meal we mentioned that he should replace his oatcakes with the local bakers... More

Aberdour provides a great taste of the seaside in Fife. It's a great catchment for Edinburgh and Fife, and has a relatively well-heeled population, compared to its surroundings. One would have thought that the local hostelries would rise a little more to the occasion. The decor is lacking any character at all. The food is edible but not remarkable, and... More

I emailed them 4 times but it appeared that their email system was down despite trying 3 different ways to do it. So I rang them twice to tell them. On each occasion a member of staff took my details and promised to pass the message on to the owner about our wish to stay there for 3 nights next... More

We didn't actually stay here but ate in their restaurant a few times. The food and service is top quality. The menu has all the standard fare with a good selection of daily specials from their French chef. The staff are friendly and attentive. You will not be disappointed.

I feel that since i have stayed here then i have to really give an account that truly reflects the accommadation and the staff. After a really warm reception and shown to a very clean and comfortable room, then an excellent evening meal followed with a really pleasant time drinking real ales in the bar then i would be inclined...
