We stayed at Wisteria Cottage in July with my parents who were over from South Africa. We wanted to show them Dorset, and Wisteria Cottage was in the perfect location to get to all our favourite places. It is in a great spot, with beautiful views, and is easy to get to. Dave, our host, was fantastic! He made the... More

We had a three night stay in Wisteria Cottage, unheard of for me as i am VERY fussy!! Our host David was very helpful and friendly, and he cooks a fab breakfast. Our room was small bur very clean and everything you need, good selection of teas coffee and hot chocolate, even ovaltine, and biscuits.....all the little extras that make... More

Dave is a terrific host - in fact we could not find ANYTHING he had forgotten. Even down to the Lemsip in our rooms! His breakfasts would make a 5 star hotel shudder and his home baked bread well words fail us. As we left he said the rooms were free tonignt - talk about temptation!

I have just returned from an extremely enjoyable few days' stay at Wisteria Cottage. The friendly, helpful and informative host, Dave, has obviously put a great deal of thought into what makes a quality B+B, and for me this ticked all the boxes -- with all the things you would hope for (a high level of comfort, excellent facilities, a... Fabulous location, every comfort thought about in the rooms - more than you typically get in a B&B. Dave has written a thorough and clear guide to the area with some excellent walks.

I needed a complete break and boy did this guest house fill the slot. Beautiful location, excellent host and well appointed rooms. Short driving distance to many locations and attractions but just wandering locally around the narrow early summer lanes really fitted the bill. The view from the top of the hill was just amazing...big skies like David the owner... More

Just got back and can honestly say this is one of the best B&Bs I stayed. Wisteria Cottage is very small so you are exclusively looked after by the highly professional host, Dave, who will tell you all about the area and especially all the stuff you don't easily find in guidebooks. The room was spotless and excellent and had... More

This B&B is nestled in the beautiful vales of Dorset, but still offering easy access to the sea either on foot or in the car. The best of both are at the doorstep, bluebell woods, historical churches and pretty villages, crowned by the Jurassic coast. Dave, the host, thinks of everything, the rooms are well kitted out, and cozy. The... More

Dave is a superb host and his cottage is fabulous - a real home from home. The delightful cottage is tucked away in the Dorset hills, down a windy single track road, but Dave's directions made it very easy to find. The views are stunning; one morning we woke to a blanket of mist in the valley below - a... More

My husband and I have just returned from 4 nights at Wisteria Cottage, Morcombelake and found it a wonderful little B&B in every way. Our host, David, made us feel really welcome from the moment we arrived and when we saw the stunning views from both the patio, the garden and our room we felt that we had landed in... More
