We stayed for a weekend in May in an attic room overlooking the garden and Tithe Barn below it. It is a well established family run business. Very friendly, warm and cosy and close to various attractions including the Swannery, sub-tropical gardens, Chesil beach and Dorset Ridge path behind it. Good parking and easy access to the local attractions above... More

Stopped over for lunch. Excellent service a warm welcome as soon as we entered the place with out two Labrador dogs. Food was excellent, so good that after a good walk with the dogs we went back for a dessert! Lovely setting in the back garden. Could not find fault.

I don't really want to say a bad word about this place but I have to say it how I saw it. The property is beautifully maintained and spotlessly clean. It's in a beautiful location with a lovely view. Very peaceful surrounded by lots of wildlife. The breakfast was good, we didn't really rate the home made muesli (sorry!) -... More

I have taken ages to sit down and write this review, but as I am in the office on bank holiday, I thought I should get it done. We were made to feel welcome the moment we walked in the door, treated like old friends. The location is beautiful, which is covered in many other reviews. Our hosts provided tips... More

A lovely couple of days spent at Abbey House to celebrate my sister's wedding. We couldn't have asked for anything better, it was perfect! It is a brilliant place to stay, very friendly, comfortable, a beautiful location and deliciious breakfast. If you are in the area stay here, you won't be disappointed!

This place is a real gem, set in the grounds of the former abbey, with views towards the tithe barn and Swannery (which is within walking distance). The owners were very friendly, and the room was very comfortably furnished, although not large. Breakfast was very good.

Having arrived on the Royal Wedding Day we were shown to our room (we also went with some friends). The place is spotless and we could not find a speck of dust - and we looked!. The breakfast is superb, very relaxed with plenty of fresh tea or coffee. The owners go out of their way to help. We stayed... More
