I have visited the hotel previously (my wife and I are members of their leisure club) however this was the first time we have visited since it has been purchased by the new owners. Wow, what a massive improvement, the hotel has been beautifully decorated, keeping the best of the original features but adding a fresh touch. Our room was... More

Twelve lady golfer's have just returned from a fabulous three day break at this beautiful Hotel. We just had to write to Trip Adviser to say how much we enjoyed our experience. Three of the ladies had stayed last year and didn't think it could be improved upon, but We were wrong! The refurbishment is superb, all rooms are amazing... More

My husband and I stayed at High Bullen to celebrate our first anniversary. On arrival we were very pleased with the beautiful surroundings and the impressive standard of the hotel's decor and felt extremely happy that we had made a good choice for our special weekend. We spent an enjoyable afternoon at the pool facilities, and playing on the somewhat... More

I've just got back home from a two day bank holiday weekend break at the High Bullen. The hotel has very obviously just undergone extensive refurbishment and still retains its country mansion ambience. I went there looking for relaxation and the opportunity to just spend some quality time with my partner and that is exactly what we got. The main... More

We have just returned from a two night stay with 9 other friends at Highbullen. The new owner is investing a great deal into restoring this lovely estate to its former glory. We played 18 holes of golf both days and really enjoyed the beautiful course. There is work still to be done on bunkers etc. but I can imagine... More

A very quiet and spacious hotel, undergoing renovation (although you cannot hear or see any work going on). I stayed two nights in the recently upgraded lodge apartments - brilliant! New furnishings and décor all done to a very high standard. Parking directly outside the lodge building. Warm and cosy inside and -2 degrees outside. Very spacious, excellent TV, and... More

Did not stay overnight as the hotel currently undergoing an upgrade but must write a review as we signed up for the Sunday Carvery currently on offer. Have to say that the hotel was amazing - fantastic swim following by an excellent Carvery and drinks. The staff were the politest bunch I have met in Devon in years and the... More
