We arrived at 12.20am (yes, very late at night) to find maxine very welcoming and had waited up just for us. Our room was beautifuly decorated and attention to detail everywhere. Breakfast worth the money by itself! Excellent rooms, food and hosts, highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore dartmoor. More

This is a delightful guest-house. A most tasty breakfast with home made marmalade, locally sourced sausages and very friendly service. The whole 2 day stay was very enjoyable and relaxing. Great hosts who obviously enjoy their work. Will definitely stay again. More

Maxine gave us a warm welcome on a very cold December evening. Our room was gorgeous, clean warm and loads of character. Lovely comfy bed with a "proper" duvet. Yummy breakfast in the morning. I read an earlier review, its a shame others had a bad stay but all the plumbing has now been sorted and you can see re-decorating... More

The Old School House is a first class Bed & Breakfast. The accommodation is spotlessly clean, and our room was of a very good size. The rooms have been built into the high original School House, which makes some of the layout a little unusual, but certainly interesting. The décor is also a little unusual, perhaps even a bit quirky,... More

The original plan was to cross the Dartmoor on our way down to Cornwall and stop at Horrabridge just for the night. Because of heavy rain, we had to drive around the park, so we had time to enjoy the garden and the beautiful living room of the "old school", to visit this tiny village and to have our best... More

Our hosts Maxine and Chris were warm and welcoming. Our room was upgraded to an ensuit as there had been a problem with the new window blinds delivered for our room which were delivered the wrong size. There was no extra charge for the upgrade. The room was very nicely furnished, of a good size and contained everything we needed.... More

Stayed one night with my husband and some friends. The building is beautiful, the rooms big and well equipped, the breakfast delicious and the landlady very helpful. The only bad thing was a lack of sleep but that was only due to a heavy rainstorm on the velux window! I would stay here again. Horrabridge is very pretty and has... More
