We just spent the May bank holiday weekend at Edgcott House and couldn't recommend it more highly! Simon and Penny were wonderful hosts, Room 5 had an amazing comfy bed, wonderful bathroom and great afternoon tea cakes left for us each afternoon! Penny's breakfast selection was incredible and Simon helped us plan our walks/bike rides. There's a decent pub within... More

We are walkers and enjoy North Somerset. We have stayed here several times over the past 12 months and it is simply the best b&b we have ever stayed in. The attention to details is great and there are a number of personal touches that we have not experienced before. The rooms are spotless and the bathrooms are really good.... More

I stayed in Edgcott House over 3 nights during Easter 2013. Apart from the initial problems of finding it, everything else was just perfect. Penny greeted me even before I reached the front door and I found my room cosy and welcoming, and the ensuite very well proportioned with all the amenities I could want. The "sitting room" was truly... More

This is simply the best B&B style property we have stayed in. All the plaudits on TripAdvisor are more than justified. The bedrooms are well appointed with most comfortable mattresses; the main room downstairs where you have breakfast and can sit by the log stove is a wonderful room - it is worth seeing in its own right and I... B & B does not do Edgcott House justice. This is top quality hotel standard accommodation and breakfast. In fact, I've never had such a quality breakfast. The presentation, taste, choice and service are all top notch and I am truly jealous that I cannot produce this at home! My waistline would probably be thankful that I cannot! We were... More

My mum and I along with our two dogs came to stay in cascade cottage this weekend. Right from the start we fell in love with it. A traditional chocolate box cottage oozing with character. We had home made cake waiting for us on the kitchen table plus fresh bread, home made marmalade and chutney plus fresh eggs etc. So.... More

We booked two nights at Edgcott House, having picked it as being a highly rated B&B in the Exmoor area. We know Exmoor well but had not stayed at Edgcott House before. It was wonderful. Not only was the room very comfortable but everything had been very well thought out - fresh homemade cakes on the tea/coffee tray, bottles of... More

We booked in at the last minute having been let down on our previous accommodation. This is one of the best B&B s we have stayed in and everything is so good it is hard to find anything that could be improved on. The only slight problem we found was the mattress was a little firm on our bed and... More

We've just got back from Edgcott House and wish we were still there. It has to be the best B&B we've stayed in this year. The hosts were lovely. The room was perfect and spotlessly clean with delicious homemade flapjacks greeting us on the first day and chocolate cake on the second day. The long room - sitting/breakfast room -... More

Edgcott is a small country house that has been a guesthouse for many years now. It was always characterful and popular with those in the know. It has recently been taken over by energetic new management who have clearly invested a good deal in a really fine and very sensitive restoration/refurbishment. The character has been retained, even much detail, but... More
