On our way from Cornwall to Bath, we chose to take the road through Dartmoor and by accident got of the B3212 on a road that led us to Sandy Park around lunchtime. There we saw this inviting inn. The food was good and the atmosphere friendly and familiar. Whenever we come back to Devon, we will try the rooms.

Good beds clean rooms and hospitable staff have made my stay here a pleasure and I will be coming back again next year!

Stayed one night on a short break to Devon and found this lovely little gem of a pub. Great atmosphere in the bar - roaring fire, friendly locals with their dogs for company, excellent food and friendly attentive service. Good choice of well kept ales. Good locals pub, reasonable food. Rooms are fine, location is great. Staff are hardworking and friendly. Only grumbles and they are minor is that TVs in the rooms might be a good move? Recommended to all (good for couples and families). Owners are great folk so support a good local pub with decent beer!
