Well done Mark, Phil & team for a great stay and we will DEFINITELY come back to this lovely place again. Considering the location of this place, you'd be expecting this place to be dead quiet. Oh how wrong you are, we checked in on the Friday afternoon, booked our table for the evening and were told that there was... More

Visited the pub for dinner during our visit to Dartmoor. Had been warned of a staff party that evening but decided to visit anyway, and we are so glad we did. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, and saw that we had everything we needed during our visit. Food was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly; only problem was the... More

Very friendly staff at this small pub in a tiny village, good location for Dartmoor. Very generous dinner, even my greedy husband could not finish the bread and putter pudding which was huge. Small room but spotlessly clean, met the cleaner in the bar and he obviously takes pride in the pub. Excellent breakfast. Would stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyed a two night break at the T. Arms. Very friendly and helpful staff and also friendly customers. The accomodation was good and comfortable, with food excellent, although had to request smaller portions. This was my second visit and I look forward to my third. We had an added bonus of watching the village firework display on Saturday. Thanks Mark,... More

We have just spent two nights at this pub which we enjoyed immensely. No frills but very comfortable with very friendly staff - nothing was too much trouble for them. As for the food well it was excellent the only complaint being there was too much of it, but that can't be bad can it! Only slight negative it would... More

Warm welcome from hosts - very helpful staff - spacious room (though storage facilities were rather limited - "wardrobe" more like an airing cupboard with shelves + a few hooks on outside; no drawers) Beautiful views - excellent food - interesting menu (not the usual "pub-grub"). If you had the "full English breakfast" you DEFINITELY wouldn't want any lunch, &... More

My partner and I stayed with 2 friends for a night to visit the Riverford farm restaurant. The B&B was good, the rooms were nice and cosy. Great views and location. The only down point was that the beds were not that comfortable. Overall though we had a great stay, nice pub and the breakfast was good.

We were staying in the village of Scoriton and went along to the quiz night. The gentleman organising it couldn't be heard over the locals who dominated the bar and who were unable to hold a conversation without liberal use of the "F" word in a loud voice. They were totally oblivious to the attempts of the person running the... More

The Tradesman's Arms is in a very quiet village only 3 or 4 miles from Buckfastleigh and therefore close to the Abbey, the South Devon Railway and the Butterfly and Otter Centres. Their real ales are well kept and the food is delicious, plentiful (you have been warned!) and reasonably priced. The Arms has been refurbished over the last few... More
