my husband booked us in for our 24th wedding anniversary. nice hotel, overlooking the harbour, parking permit provided a short walk away. it's probably several old buildings combined into one which accounts for the differing ages of decor. the dining room was very attractive, money has clearly been spent on it recently, elsewhere in the public areas though it's rather... We booked for two nights and checked in at 2pm. At 5pm my wife received news that her father had died suddenly. We informed the receptionist and vacated our room by 6pm. I phoned the hotel the following morning and apologised for the inconvenience we had caused. I was then informed that we would be charged the bed and breakfast... More

This was one of the nicest hotels I have stayed in at a costal resort in a long time. My wife book a weekend as a surprise for my 45 birthday, the room was very tidy and staff really helpful. Though there is no parking at the hotel, they have some close by and this is identified on the web... More

We have just returned from a two night stay at the quayside hotel and boy was it great to get back into our own bed!! The hotel is quirky with corridors and steps everywhere, the rooms are quite small but with lovely views over the quay and town from the front. The staff are friendly and efficient but quite thin on... More

Have just booked a stay at the quayside again, I think it is a fab hotel with a fabulous restaurant. The only drawback is that it does not have a lift, but this is by far outweighed by the friendliness of all the staff, The rooms are very clean and tidy the rstaurant and food are superb. I can't wait. David.

We have just had the best weekend at the Quayside Hotel in Brixham. A lovely old hotel. Room was big and the bed was great. Tea and coffee in the room. On suite, with a bathe and shower. The breakfast was really good, lots of it and really hot when it arrived. You can also have an evening meal at... More

Really enjoyed our stay at this fab hotel. The location is great and we visited some lovely coves and beaches during our stay. I recommend the monkfish curry in the quayside restaurant as it was delightful, the room was clean and nicely decorated with a sea view, staff were really friendly. Would come back again!

Stayed at this lovely hotel for a few nights over Easter. Great location, lovely staff and wonderful food; especially the sea bass. The room was very comfortable and had all you would need for a weekend away. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel looked perfect on the internet but when we arrived we realised it was nothing like the internet at all, our room was tiny, we couldnt even open the drawers fully as the radiator blocked them so had very little storage space that we could actually use, the carpet was loose and dirty, we asked for a smoking room... We are sorry you did not enjoy your stay. The Quayside is a converted cottage hotel dating back to the 18th century. The rooms are all different shapes and sizes. For most, this is part of the charm of the Hotel. Although the current trend is for Hotels to be totally non-smoking we do have a small number of smoking... More

We are very concerned at the comments you have made – bathroom filthy, greasy cheap ingredients at breakfast. We have a compliment of trained housekeepers who take pride in their work and whilst there may occasionally be small oversights your experience is obviously exceptional. Our food ingredients are of the best quality and again there must have been a specific... More
