Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. We stopped here en route to Exeter for an impromptu lunch. It's the most stunning little Inn with gorgeous river views in an idyllic setting in the quiet country village of Bickleigh. All I can say is, keep on driving. Yes, it's beautiful but once you enter the standard just doesn't drop, it plummets.... More

We stopped in for a drink and a bit of food on a lovely sunny Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy so we managed to get a table outside. We ordered a sharing platter for £12.50. Everything was very deep fried and a bit greasy. We didn't eat it all because of this. The deep fried brie tasted incredibly strange.... More

Have visited here twice with family and friends. It's a spacious pub, good for spreading out with kids. The location is also lovely with the river Exe rushing by. However, the food is at best average, so don't expect too much and you won't be disappointed. Service was excellent both times we visited, very accommodating and friendly. We'd go back,... More

We called in for lunch on a bank holiday. After ordering our food we were only told of a delay when the waitress brought the cutlery... Too late to leave at this point. The service was slow as they were busy but our waitress was very smily and friendly - she was doing her best. Food was tasty and fresh... More

Seven of us went for their Sundy lunch and I have to say it was truly awful. I was embarrased to have taken our staff there for a goodbye get together. Despite the veg, potatoes etc all being bought in the vegetables had decided to turn grey/brown, obviously they don't like hanging around. The beef was grey, the pork as... More

Recently visited over the weekend, turned out to be a wonderful surprise! On arrival we were a bit concerned by the state of the out doors, but when inside we found the it to be very welcoming by a team of friendly and efficient staff. the inside very cute and spacious quite old fashioned British country style. As per chance... More

We want to thank you for a very lovely night that we had with your selves on the 8/2/2013. My Daughter had bought us a virgin experience for one night bb in a Traditional British inn for Christmas, on looking through the brochure we picked yourselves, and from the moment we arrived we felt very welcome, and at home. The... More

My wife and i have just returned home after a weekend stay at the Fishermans Cot in Bickleigh. We were in the area on a house hunting trip, which incidentally was fruitless. I had only seen pictures of the Fishermans Cot, which are normally glossed up to sell the location, but in fact they showed it how it is, it... More
