I recently went to Guernsey for a daytrip, on my own and booked at short notice due to a poor ferry crossing.

We chose St Georges for convenience and price (it was the cheapest place we could find in St Peter Port). It was clean and comfortable and not too far from the bus terminal and ferries - also a flat walk! Breakfast was good.

The room was servicable, and clean with fresh linen, towels and comfy beds. Bathroom was clean. Could help yourself to extra sachets of tea/coffee/ milk and sugar from the trolley on the landing, which was really useful.
