Stayed for one night after being referred from another B&B who had us double booked. This was a precious break for myself and my husband following a few hard and emotional months......We love Wicklow and walking, and the weather was beautiful after the miserable few weeks leading up to this break. The Old Coach House was disappointing. The room was... More

My friend booked a room for a night away at this B&B only to receive an cancellation from the B&B on the day of the reservations, informing us that they had double booked and had made alternative arrangements in a Pub up the road. We did not want to stay in a Pub, we could have booked there if that... More

Stayed here as 4 couples for a surprise birthday & we all loved it. Beautiful place to stay, friendly hosts & great character to all of the rooms. Just what you would expect of an old coach house, a small piece of Ireland's history tastefully restored. We all had great rooms and would stay again.

Great place to stay. Great character throughout the whole building. Rooms spotless and hosts Barbara and Michael could not do enough to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Lovely touch with coffee and cake on arrival and fantastic breakfast with great choice. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The rooms at this B&B are inconsistent ranging from good to very poor, small cluttered and drap. Our Party had 2 rooms and the difference was stark. Our room was tiny and the chair blocked the wardrobe , the hospitality tray on the table was also in the way, the other room was not much bigger but at least there... More

Dear Guset We are sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us.However we are very glad it does not constitute the main body of reviews that seem to appreciate the thought and care we have given to keeping The Coach House within its period of 1780 whilst providing it with modern amenities. I can only apologise if you... More

Aidan Came across Avoca and the Old Coach House a few years ago while taking my Australian cousins out for an afternoon drive. I followed up with a weekend break away from town for myself in the off season. I've been doing so since when the need arises. I have an easy-going time, ... fine beakfasts, long walks, real fires... Stayed here in April with my husband, had really great break from city life. Everything great, breakfast was amazing nothing was too much trouble . Lovely old house wiht loads of character and bedrooms were spotless. There was a real fire lighting in very cosy drawing room where we relaxed and had a drink.

Stayed here with my partner (her birthday) and 2 family members for 3 days in April 2012. We had a great time, the owners Mike and Barbara really made us feel welcome, nothing seemed to be too much and trust me we are a lively lot. The rooms are spotlessly clean and a pleasure to stay in. We went to... More

The Old Coach House was a very welcoming, warm and cosy place to be. After many hours travelling, my Husband, brother and sister in law and I were tired and wanted to chill out for the evening. We were greeted with smiles, free coffee and cake. Welcomed into a warm and cosy living area. Our room was basic, but comfortable,... More
