My boyfriend and I spent one night in The Old Coach House last weekend and we had a fantastic time from the minute we pulled into the driveway. Firstly we were greeted by a mob of 15 very curious hens of all colours, shapes and sizes that came waddling towards us as we got out of the car. This sight... More

This was our last B&B stay in Ireland and the best ! Barbara was very friendly and welcoming and suggested a meal and music just up the road in a "locals" pub not overrun with tourists. It was a quiet evening there but the food, drinks & music were great - I expect it would be a bit more lively... More

We stayed at the Old Coach House on Good Friday 2013. Our stay was fantastic, the owners could not have helped more make our stay comfortable and relaxed. Barbara arranged our night out on Good Friday which was fantastic and very much appreciated. The coach house itself has character and charm. The breakfast was the best we had in 6... More

We loved the hospitality and friendliness of Barbara and Mick. They could not do enough for us, breakfast was first class and nothing was too much trouble. Mick filled us in on all the local beauty spots and even drew us a map so we wouldn't miss anything on our cycle, our bikes were stored safely in the back, no... More

Went there for a weekend and we got a great welcome by Barbara and Mick. They were very helpful giving us advise about where to go in the area. And they would always have the fire lit so you could relax in a cozy atmosphere. The sorroundings of Avoca are beautiful and there's a great restaurant nearby as well. Lovely... More

We were picked up from the train station by Michael, our host. Both him and his wife Barbara were very warm and welcoming, and upon entering the nicely decorated living... More
