We stayed here for one night, purpose being to experience the place as a possible wedding venue. After a few visits up to the Village @ Lyons for lunch and afternoon tea in the canal cafe (owned by celebrity chef Clodagh McKenna) I fell in love with the beauty of the grounds and the buildings. The food is always JUST... More

We have hardly covered ourselves in glory following your experience in the Village at Lyons. I've gathered the key team together to review your experience and we are all taken aback by the litany of hospitality service failures that you encountered. We have been working very hard in the Village at Lyons this past year in particular to improve our... More

We stayed here in February 2013 on the b&b/cookery demo/dinner deal. It wasn't our first stay-we attended a friend's wedding reception in October 2010 and had our own wedding reception there in September 2011. I can't speak highly enough of the Village: -Food: Was fabulous in La Serre restaurant, but more importantly (!) amazing at our wedding-no mean feat when... More

Myself and my wife have just returned from a beautiful night away at "The Village at Lyons." We really had a wonderful time and the hotel/demesne is absolutely fabulous. The room, "The Ryan Suite" is a good combination on old and new with beautiful views looking out every window. The room is very spacious and the peace and quiet is... More

We have been at Village at Lyons three times: Our first time was a wedding reception, which was flawless. Second time, we had dinner with another couple. Third time, we booked a deal which offered dinner, accommodation and breakfast for one night. We had always wanted to stay over ever since our first visit and it did not disappoint. I... More

This was our first time to The Village at Lyons. We booked the package deal of dinner, 1 night B&B and cookery demo. This is definitely a couples destination for a quiet romantic break. We found the staff very friendly and accomodating throughout. The room (the Shackleton apartment) was amazing, four poster bed, large lounge area with large fakt screen... More

We really enjoyed our stay in the Village at Lyons, the surrounds/location is fantastic and food exceptional. The staff were at all times very friendly and helpful and the package we booked (including cookery demo, dinner and B&B in a luxury suite) was great value. The only thing that would make the stay better would be a TV in the... More

1st September 2012, the most memorable day of our lives. Venue, well where else but the outstanding Village at Lyons. Our day was so special and truly memorable. Philip & Elaine were on hand on the day, so we had no doubt that making our day faultless was their main priority, they certainly did not disappoint. Thank you both. Staff... More

Whether for a wedding, a cookery demo, dinner, bed & breakfast or just coffee & a stroll on the canal bank The Village at Lyons ticks all the boxes. Thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay including cookery demo. Food was delicious, suite fab & everyone was friendly. Only wish we could be there more often!!!
