This is a lovely house converted pleasingly into a guesthouse with a good location close to Dun Aengus fortress ruins and museum, gift shops and a nice cafe. It's not near the main town on Inishmore. We arrived by ferry and hired a driver to give us an island tour then take us to the guest house. The three course... More

We loved our visit at Kilmurvey House. For us, the location was perfect. We arrived to Inishmore by plane in the afternoon. A van took us the beautiful 10 min drive to Kilmurvey. There is a nearby cafe and we had a delicious lunch there. Dun Aenghus is very close by. In fact, the admission fee is waived for guests... More

I have been staying at Kilmurvey House on Inishmore since 1976. For years I took university students there for a week. Brigit Hernon was the Emperor of Kilmurvey--and a wonderful, wonderful woman. Her daughter Treasa and her husband Bertie run Kilmurvey House now. The house is a big square late-eighteenth century stone house, with a well-designed modern addition on the... More

The location and views from this lodge are incredible. Breakfast was excellent. There is a place for a sit down lunch just a few steps from the lodge with the best food that I had in Ireland. The family will shuttle you to town for dinner and will not accept any payment as they do it to support their fellow... More

We stayed here for a wedding. The staff was friendly and breakfast was great. Some rooms are newer than others but they are all clean. It has a few shops next store, but you would have to get a cab to take you to the pubs. Cabs are cheap and the locals are all friendly. Would recommend this B &... More

We rented every room in Kilmurvey House for our wedding guests, and it was just perfect! Treasa was very efficient in dealing with our large group. Our room was clean, very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast food was delicious with lots of choice. We loved being so close to Dun Aengus (with free access since we were guests of Kilmurvey... More

A fabulous guesthouse located at foot of Dun Aenghus. We received a great welcome from Treasa & nothing was too much trouble. Spacious family room, very comfortable felt like home from home. Followed next morning with a delicious breakfast with lots of choice. Beautiful quiet setting, ideal for young family. Approx 5 miles from Kilronan so need to get taxi/arrange... More

This Bed and Breakfast was a hidden gem on the front steps to Dun Aonghasa. The hostess was perfect from the time I made the reservation to the time we checked out. We were greeted at the front door and were shown to our perfect sized room with a balcony overlooking the 3000 year old historic site. Don't be alarmed... More

We stayed two nights at Kilmurvey House on Inishmor because we wanted to enjoy the peace and remoteness of this Aran Island. It is away from the small town where the ferry comes; from our beautiful room's windows we could see a 9th c. church! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here....from the delicious Irish breakfast with great coffee, to the... More
