We have stayed or at least attended concerts at The Chip, every year since 2005. We've tried another Campground one year and quickly returned to the Chip the next year. “Great place to party and not sleep”

The chip is a great place to catch a concert or party for a night. However, if you want to get some sleep this is not the place for you. The restroom facilities are disgusting. The 2011 Rally was my third trip to Sturgis Bike Week, or whatever they are calling the rally these days. I've stayed at The Buffalo Chip all three trips. This was the 3rd year in a row I've stayed at Buffalo Chip. Keep in mind that this place is HUGE! Yes there are outhouses that smell, but there are clean flush toilets in different locations as well. The camping area around the Black Parrot had major restroom problems. They never attended to them. Best they would do is board up the only restrooms the bar had. The next closest portipotty was more than a block away. The showers had no hot water and were dirty. What a shame as the entertainment and fun were top notch.
