Part of a group tour at a time when the weather threatened to disrupt our stay and sightseeing. Fortunately the hotel was sufficiently far enough away from the river and on higher ground to dispel our enjoyment and stay. Very comfortable hotel with great facilities. Room was more than adequate as was the service. Highly recommended.

Manager /Owner Thomas was a totally difficult person to deal with. He quoted me a daily cost of 46.50 plus tax per room. When I got the bill the room rate was 89.99. I rented five rooms we stayed there for five days to help fight the flood with our equipment. When I got the bill they overcharged me by $750.00.... More

The guest's step son in law requested one room with one bed and I granted him a discounted rate because I knew the son in law. Upon arrival, the guest requested 4 more rooms with two beds. Each registration card had the rate prominently displayed and was even initialed by the guest. We never agreed to a discounted rate for... More

I was totally awestruck when I checked into our room (King Leisure) during a recent trip to Pierre SD for a Tourism Conference. The room was big, bright, and throughly Clean, we had a ref and micro, iron and ironing board, a seperate walk in closet, love seat, and seperate reclining chair. I usually stay at Holiday Inns or better... More

I stayed at the King's Inn for a business trip. I tossed and turned the first couple of nights because staying in one position too long hurt and the third day I woke up with hip pain. I looked under the stained mattress and there was subflooring board under it! I've had to get massage and chiropractic. I called the... More

Was expecting more after reading several high reviews. For the price this is OK for a one night stopover, but for a longer stay I would go elsewhere. This is an older place, but one the main drag, and very close to the capitol. Having Walgreen's next door was a plus for us, as we needed to get some Rx... More

Pierre's hidden gem is the Kings Inn. I paid just 49.99. Room was clean. Breakfast was great. Very quiet. Next door to Walgreens if you need anything. And the closest hotel to the Capitol. Why rent a car and drive to the AmericInn in Ft Pierre when you can stay here and walk to the Capitol. Nearby grocery store, Guadalajara... More

A friend and I were in Pierre for three nights for a friend's wedding and were put up at the Kings Inn by the family. To be honest, for the two of us and our intentions for the weekend, this was pretty much exactly the type of place we needed. My friend was there only to party from dawn til... More

I was in Pierre for 3 days on business, and based on the recommendations decided to try Kings Inn Hotel. Pleased to report that not only was my stay very comfortable and quiet, I found the hotel staff helpful and pleasant, intent on making my business stay enjoyable. The mark of satisfaction with a business stay is whether you'd consider... More

Free airport shuttle. Clean as they come new. New tubs. Next to Walgreens. Walk to downtown restaurants (and nearby grocery store and great Mexican Restaurant, Guadalajara). This is your bargain choice. Nicer than the more popular Best Western but Kings Inn is closer to the Capitol.

This is a good hotel, nothing exceptional. Rate was $70. Rooms a clean and quiet (as long as you are not on the side of the railroad). Breakfeast has some hot items.
