THis was our first camping trip to the beach, and we choose Pirateland basically based on an internet search. We loved Pirateland and would go back tomorrow if we could! While the sites are extremely close to each other, the other amenitites of the park make up for that. WE had an oceanfront site and loved being ten steps from... More

This was our third visit to this campground. We went over spring break. Naturally it was very busy with lots of kids. We had oceanfront sites. The only issue is the gazebo across from our site which is the beach access tends to get taken over by teens from about 8p-11p. There is security which enforces quiet hour at 11p.... More

We have visited Pirateland in the past - maybe 5 years ago. After an incident when a worker attempted to steal from our campsite, we didn't go back for a while. We have chosen nearby Ocean Lakes and Lakewood for our more recent trips to Myrtle Beach but decided to give Pirateland another try on this Easter trip. We were... More

Thank you for giving us another try. We are very sorry you were disappointed. We've hosted many return guests in 46 years and our goal is to ensure they have a great experience and want to return. Our park has a nostalgic feel and is the smallest of the three campgrounds mentioned. The front gate crew usually takes parking passes... More

Took my family for the first time camping. We went for 4 days. 2 out of 4 we had rain. If you are planning a trip, check your weather. Camping in the rain is no fun. Camper turned into a damper, with wet towels and wet clothes from swimming. Amenities on site are great. Shower/Bath houses are clean. There was... More

Disregard all of the negative comments. Pirateland has always been great and still is. Not only did my dad go there with his parents, I went as a child and I am lucky enough to bring my own children there. We stayed 7 nights and they were all great. The weather has warm enough to use the new pools and... More

They had arrested a unregistered pedophile here and with the lack of monitoring underage kids flying around on golfcarts or people going 20+ on the roads is enough for us to cross this place off our list and I think since we camp over 150 days a year, it has given us a sour taste for camping ever again. The... More

We wanted to try a few parks in Myrtle beach after doing almost 3 months of state parks all over the southern USA. we ended up in pirateland. The washrooms need upgrading and would be at the bottom of all the parks we used. When we arrived we had a nice quiet part of the southeast corner in site 84 this lasted... We started going here 4 years ago and love every minute of it! This year we rented a 3 bedroom trailer for 3 adults and 3 young children and we had plenty of space. It was so nice to be able to just pack up the strollers and walk to the beach. We really enjoyed spending some time in the... More

Camping isn't for me, but I've stayed at the Pirateland camp ground several times, friends and family and enjoyed each stay. For a campground they offer the most. With beach access, a lazy river, shaded areas. A store on site with a grill. Nice bath houses, and pool. Gated so no one that doesn't belong can come in. And that... More

We booked less then a week before on a holiday weekend and they were very helpful! It took a week that could have been horrible and made it wonderful. When looking at sites check out the ones on the waterway pay a bit more but they are much nicer then the standard site,
