Have to admit I was a bit bummed when I got this hotel during Spoleto this year but I was amazed at how nice the hotel was! The location is right next to the baseball stadium and my wife and I rented bikes from affordabikes the location was the perfect ride down the battery and through nice paved sidewalks. The... More

So, so expensive! The price isn't worth it because they don't offer anything special or worth the price. The bar and restaurant are insanely high. Also, we tried to go to the rooftop bar in the evening, but got booted out by a group of at least 50 prom kids and their parents wanting to take pictures. Super annoying considering... More

From the arrival experience and well-informed, helpful front desk agents to the incredible meeting space (wow, the Crystal Ballroom addition was impressive) to the efficient and courteous housekeeping staff, this Marriott has it all. The location appears to be perfect for business meetings, as evidenced by the number of events being held in the hotel this week leading into Memorial... More

Basic hotel, not in the best location, but clean and very friendly front desk staff. I usually stay in Marriott properties . . . tried to get a reservation in Charleston the second week in May in one of the Marriotts close to the old town . . . all were filled . . . this was my last choice... More

The Charleston Marriott is close to the action yet far enough away to avoid the crowds. They provided a shuttle to downtown which was very convenient. The front desk staff went beyond the call of duty in making sure our room was in order and also offering great advise on restaurants and shopping. Truly a five star experience!

I highly recommend this hotel. The lobby, patio, pool areas were really beautiful. Room was well appointed- love the bath products and coffee. Outstanding customer service. Location was the only issue. I missed being able to walk out my door to eat, shop or sightsee. However, we got a great price and I felt the value of this beautiful hotel... More

Stayed here for a conference hosted here - meaning I spent quite a bit of time in the hotel. The conference room was too dark and too chilly. And instead of putting a small pad of paper out for each participant (like hotels normally do) there was a single SHEET of paper. Hmmm - that is handy if I want... More

Lovely hotel! Great for families! We have stayed there twice and everything is consistent. Buffet breakfast in the morning....everything from cold cereal to the omelette King who will make your request from scratch! Take the free shuttle to downtown and spend the morning or afternoon, hop back on the shuttle and come back to the hotel. The Children's museum was... More

I stayed at this Marriott thinking, as the website says (and shows) "we are minutes from historic downtown." It's a lot of minutes. It was a 30 minute walk and 15 minute cab ride - not really close at all. For the amount of money ($300/night) I changed hotels to be closer to downtown and the historic area. The Marriott... More

We had a great stay here recently. No, you are not within walking distance to the market and the true "historic district", but with a shuttle service ($6.day) unitl 10:45 pm, it's a good value compared to the other downtown properties. The rooms were comfy and clean. The lobby/restaurant had a stylish decor and lots of cushy chairs. The rooftop... More
