This home is very nice and in a great location in a historic area. In fact many of the tours go by this location regularly and you can walk into the downtown shopping and restaurant district. We are not Jewish or kosher but thought we would stay here since it looked nice online and we were only in town for... More

My wife, my father and I spent an extended weekend in Charleston in celebration of my father's 65th birthday. We had a great time at the Broad Street Guest House, and the food was delicious. Even if you do not keep kosher, or observe the Sabbath, the B&B would be an excellent place to stay - beautiful rooms, excellent location,... More

The Broad Street Guest House in Charleston, SC is a perfect blend of comfort, elegance and charm. From the moment we arrived and smelled the aroma of freshly baked challah from the kitchen, we were hooked. We were treated royally by the Innkeeper, Hadassah Rothenberg. Each morning's breakfast was special, delicious and nutritious. The sumptuous, 5-course Shabbat dinner was served... More

We had a wonderful experience here. First, there was the location -- right there in the beautiful historic downtown, an easy walk to all the Charleston attractions. Second, was the hostess -- she was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable, and runs the place extremely well, giving you just the right balance of providing you with a home atmosphere and giving... We are not Jewish & although this is an Orthodox B & B, which observes diatery laws, we felt welcome and loved the furnishings, table appointments and guest suite. The food was exceptional. I especially enjoyed being served on fine china with linen napkins and tablecloths. The bed linens were of finest quality as well. The complimentary Arbonne bath/cosmetics were... More

This special guest house was a perfect fit for us, and it exceeded all of our expectations. I have stayed at many bed and breakfasts and inns, and thus have a basis for comparison. We were delighted and pleasantly surprised to find a bed and breakfast property that followed the kosher dietary laws, particularly in Charleston where we wanted to... More

This B&B is unique in that it offers kosher food service and is within walking distance to a synagogue. Its location is excellent within the historic district of Charleston and the rooms in the inn were better than I expected. There are 4 rooms all tastefully decorated and decently sized. Food is home-made and on the sabbath they offer dinner... More
