We had an abolutely great time. Jack, Annelise, and Martha (not forgetting Fran and Drifter) made us feel welcome and like we had arrived home. The breakfasts and social hours were wonderful. Jack had even made heart shaped pancakes for our anniversary! It really did feel like we had known them for a long time. The location cannot be beat.... More

Having just re-read previous reviews I would say " ditto " to all. Highlights were location, hosts Jack, Annalise, Martha and Leanne, southern happy hour, great breakfasts, breezy porches, and comfy. We can see why it was Trip Advisor's number one. We would love to repeat this totally memorable experience.

We had a wonderful, most welcoming experience with Jack and Annelise in their home. We were over an hour late arriving and Jack was waiting outside for us when we drove up. They were very attentive in giving us advice and recommendations for places to see and dine. Their hospitality provided us with a personal experience of being in the... More

There are some very good things to like about 15 Church Street. The first most obvious is it's location. It's on a quiet little street two blocks from the Battery and within walking distance of most downtown restaurants and attractions. Secondly, Jack and Annalise are two very nice people and the social hour they provide is a great way to... More

While we always want to please all of our guests we realize that, being human, it is just not possible to be perfect. We are sorry that the experience of these guests was so clouded by our tardiness. These delightful people did indeed schedule a 2:30 arrival (usual check-in is 4 PM) and Annelise is usually here at that time... More

Had a great 3 days in Charleston especially staying at 15 Church St. Annelise and Jack, as well as Martha, helped us make the most of our time in this beautiful and historic city with such fabulous restaurants. Stayed in the Cypress room which perfectly met our needs, and the yummy breakfasts helped us start our day filled with energy.... More

If you looked up bed and breakfast in the dictionary, you'd find a picture of 15 Church Street. Jack and Annelise are wonderful hosts, full of information about where to go, what to see, and where to eat. Martha is also a great source of inside information. Social hour with drinks and snacks on the porch is a great way... More

What a great place! Jack and Annalise are the perfect innkeepers, and this is a gem of a B&B. The location can't be beat. The accommodations are lovely. Breakfast is delicious, and wine on the porch such a nice touch. Most of all it's the kind of place where the guests chat with one another and the hosts, but it's... More

This was our second time staying with Jack and Annelise (and Martha, Leanne, Frannie and Drifter). When we planned to head back to Charleston, we knew we wanted to stay here again, having had such a great experience on our first trip (May, 2011). We stayed in the Cypress Room, downstairs with a separate entrance, which is perfect for us... More

We recently visited Charleston for the first time and our stay at 15 Church street made our visit memorable. Jack and Annelise are excellent hosts who work hard to put their guests at ease in their home. Excellent location on a beautiful residential street in the historic district and a block from the battery. We were happy with their policy... More

We have enjoyed staying at B&B's and historic inns and hotels over the last 25 years or so in our travels across this Great Country and Canada. Some are more memorable than others. Far and away, 15 Church St B&B is the BEST we have ever experienced. Period. Bar none! It IS the home of Jack and Annelise Simmons, and... More
