Beautiful home steeped in history. Would definitely stay here again!
Just spent a week in the carriage house. Traveled with my husband, our dog, and another couple. We have been to Charleston many times- both on vacation and on quick trips from NYC to visit our son at the College of Charleston. This was a leisurely visit meant to feel as if we lived in Charleston for the week. And...

We visited the Palmer Home using a LivingSocial coupon. It was such a great deal, I booked the room before checking it out on tripadvisor--which I NEVER do ! After booking, I started reading the reviews and became very concerned. My husband and I decided to try it because we love Charleston. SO happy we did. It was a wonderful...

Sadly, I doubt the owners have the kind of wealth required to undertake the scope of work needed and until this property is acquired by a multi-millionaire...

This was the weekend of the 2012 SC Primary, and the parlor of the home was being used by a cable news network to interview one of the presidential candidates. As a result, we were kept from checking...

I am sorry that your stay was less than satisfactory.
We did indeed have a number of exciting and unplanned events here that occurred that weekend but we did our best to accommodate and include our guests in the house happenings.
The Palmer Home was picked by CNN to host an interview between Peirs Morgan and presidential candidate, Rick Santorum....

I've stayed at the Palmer Home a number of times and every time they've treated me as an honored guest. Your can't beat the views of the harbor, the staff is efficient friendly and helpful; and I love the wine and cheese in the evening on the veranda.
