we stayed at the Avonlea May 8-11. of 2012. The Emerald room was just perfect. Great view of the water on the second floor. Comfortable bed and you hear the ocean waves. We love this place for its off-season rates, dog-friendly rooms, and perfectly located wraparound porch overlooking Crescent beach which hosts tasty breakfasts and wine and cheese happy hours. We stayed at the Avonlea on 6/29 & 6/30. We had an incredible experience. Breathtaking panoramic view of the ocean from our room. Delicious breakfast each morning and a delightful staff! We love BI off season and this was wonderful experience!

Stayed at the second inn, Avonlea, Jewel of the Sea (same owner as Blue Dory Inn), in the Emerald Room. Location is fabulous---lay in bed and watch the tides change; on a nice quiet side stree t right on the beach, but an easy walk to town. Room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable and clean.
