Jim and Jean were incredibley hospitable. It felt like we'd known them forever. They welcomed us into their gorgeous home with open arms. This was our first trip to York. We enjoyed antiquing, biking and eating at the Market. Staying at Lady Linden B & B added to the great enjoyment of the long weekend for us as Jean and Jim made us feel welcomed to their most lovingly restored house with wonderful conversations and sumptuous (and most accommodating to Jin's food sensitivity)... Having stayed in at least a dozen B and B's, this one is definitely a favorite. This was my second visit to Lady Linden, and it was as wonderful as the first. Jean and Jim are warm and friendly and make their guests feel like friends. They restored the home themselves and have endless stories to share and are full... More

We were able to work out a road trip from East Tenn. to finally visit Gettysburg. We were planning to travel to the area the last week of Sept 2011. So naturally we also wanted to see Hershey, then added Lancaster Co., then Hanover and then Columbia (the new Turkey Hill Ice Cream experience). Trying to decide where to stay... More

Jean and Jim could are the best, nicest hosts I've ever met, and I've stayed at B&Bs for 20+ years. I will not stay in a hotel. Not sure if these people are committed to your visit? Check out the before and after photo book of the house renovations in the parlor. Prepare to be shocked at the amount of... More

It has taken me a little while to write but finally..... I had a friend come to stay and as we were traveling though York, decided to book at the Lady Linden. We had a wonderful time. Jean and Jim are truly the best hosts and have the most beautiful and painstakingly renovated house with gorgeous gardens surrounding it. The... More

LBB is a beautiful Victorian home, lovingly restored by the owners, Jim and Jean, who are dedicated to the art of authentic Victorian era restoration.  The location is conveniently located in York, yet residential enough to relax from the city sounds.  The breakfast is awesome, and Jean does a wonderful job cooking gourmet meals within my dietary restrictions.  Both Jim and Jean... When I think of the Lady Linden, one word comes to mind--elegant. We stayed in the Grecian Room. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in, and there is also a private porch overlooking the gardens. The breakfasts are delicious--filling, yet healthy with fresh fruit and homemade muesli. The owners, Jim and Jean, are very... More

My husband arranged a romantic overnight at the lovely Lady Linden Bed and Breakfast in The Avenues section of York, Pa! Our room was beautifully furnished and prepared with wine and flowers. Everything we needed to relax and get ready for the evening ahead was available to us including bath salts and other toiletries. And it was very clean! The... More
