My wife & I stayed at the Sterling Inn 3 times between 2006 & 2009 and found it to be clean, quiet, old fashioned. While the rooms in the main building were "Well Worn" they were spotless and the food was fantastic. We even stayed at the Sterling Inn for Thanksgiving one year. We drove from NYC and checked in... We had a very bad experience staying in this hotel. No hot water during the first day of stay but after a threat not to stay for a second day we got hot water by 11am No keys to the rooms. No promised Wi-Fi No proposed discount for the inconvenience

We made reservations for this past weekend... from viewing website only, forgot to check TripAdvisor!!!! We pulled in and this place was so run down looking, over grown, broken chairs, broken swing sets, dark and unwelcoming from outside, very scary looking!!! We turned our car around and left and stayed at another reputable resort in Marshalls Creek! The manager called... More

The sterling Inn was so peaceful and relaxing. The property was kept very well and the staff was very nice. Home like setting. You get your own little cabin across from the main house. Very nice dinning area with very good food. Would love to go back again and again. A little pricey but you get what you pay for!

This was a terrible experience. There were surprise charges when we signed in. The grounds were not kept. The stay was for the hotel but we were upgraded to cottages. We had previously stayed here with my 3 children's families and had wonderful experiences. My son and daughter-in-law left at 11pm. They found garbage under the bed. Some bugs and... More

This inn is a sad shell of what it used to be. Breakfast consisted of stale bread and frozen Sara Lee muffins. Several things were broken like the hair dryer and jacuzzi. The restaurant was not "open" to serve me or our friends but could easily cook meals for other guests. The new management has no idea what customer service... More

This was our second stay at this rustic 1890's inn and it seemed in better shape than two years ago. The main building is reminiscent of the grand old New England hotels (which have mostly burned down), of 100 years ago -- even to the long front porch with the wooden rockers. It's amazing how well kept and painted and... More
