We stay at this Inn whenever we are in Pittsburgh to visit family. I almost hesitate to write a review because it will make this place even more popular and even more difficult to secure a reservation. It truly feels like home to us because we have gotten to know the staff and they always ask about our family, encourage... More

What a great alternative to obvious choices just a few minutes away downtown. Ideally situated for visiting the many colleges close by. Beyond the geographical niceties, the inn works flawlessly from beginning to end. A welcome bottle of Bordeaux just moments after situating in the readily available inn parking, Pastries, juices, teas and coffees of all variety beautifully presented with... More

No place compares to The Inn on Negley. We have stayed at the Inn several times and it is just like coming home except the food is much better! Highly recommend the service and the rooms. The owner and the staff could not be nicer or more accomodating. The rooms are gorgeous and the beds are comfortable. Shadyside is a fun... More

The Inn is a wonderful place to feel at once a part of Pittsburgh history yet with all the comforts of today. The main street of Shadyside is an easy walk from the Inn and is fun to stroll, with many dining options. The staff is attentive and thoughtful and make you feel welcome as soon as you arrive. The... This is a beautifully restored old house very near Carnegie Mellon and Univ of Pittsburgh. The furnishings are beautiful, with oil paintings, mahogany furniture, and high ceilings. Breakfast is a gourmet treat, with more food than you could possibly eat in one setting. In the afternoon, they put out cookies and iced tea; not just any cookies, but scrumptous cookies,... More

I am embarrassed to have let two months go by before writing a review of this wonderful B&B. My husband and I planned a two night getaway, but didn't want to go too far in the winter. This B&B exceeded our expectations. We added the afternoon tea for our first day, and it was wonderful. The staff was friendly and... More

The room and inn were comfortable and elegant. Easy walking to shopping, restaurants, gym. A highlight was High Tea with family and friends, delicious sandwiches, pastries and pleasant, knowledgeable tea service. Attentive staff and exception breakfasts. Indoor and outdoor relaxing spaces.

I recently stayed at the Inn on Negley because I was in Pittsburgh for work. I can't say enough good things about my stay. I felt completely comfortable there: cared for - but not watched over, which is sometimes an issue at bed and breakfasts. The rooms were clean and cozy. And the bathrooms spacious. I also loved the tea... More

Ambiance was cozy, comfortable and totally relaxing. Gas fire place and jacuzzi in Courtland room was perfect. I was taking my teen granddaughters for a one night get away. I slept on the roll away which was very comfortable for a roll away, but the bed was heavenly. The staff was warm, helpful and gave us an upgrade room for... More

My wife and I only visit Pittsburgh during the Thanksgiving holidays and I wanted to treat her to something special. The Inn on Negley was even more than I had hoped with beautiful decorations, exceptional furnishings, and a very warm and friendly staff. We were so pampered that it was difficult to leave. This Inn is truly a gem operated... More
