My family very much enjoyed the accomodations, the hospitality of the innkeepers, the delicious food, and all the fun activities. We especially enjoyed bottle feeding the newborn calves! However, I was and still am very disturbed by several things. First, the newborn calves are taken away from their mothers right way. The calves we fed were only a few hours... More

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to explain our dairy operation. We have one of the most high quality operations in the state of Pennsylvania. Our farmer’s wife is on the National Dairy Board and is very active in making sure the policies and procedures practiced on our farm ensure the animals utmost comfort and produce the safest and... Every morning when I wake up I look forward to pony rides, breakfast, hay rides, tractor ride, and the fork ride. This is a great family trip, if you don't want to stay at the farm during the day...there are many attractions close by. In the morning you can feed the calfs and at night you can milk the cows.... We have been several times over the past six years to Rocky Acre Farm. Every time we leave, we think about when we will return. It feels like a home away from home. The charming and comfortable rooms are clean and roomy. The breakfasts offer delicious and plentiful food as well as the opportunity to meet such interesting people. Our... More

This was our third visit to the farm and will continue to visit for years to come. We enjoy the hopitality of the owners Mr. and Mrs. Benner as well as their staff. They are very kind towards all their guests. Breakfast was a feast to say the least, if you walked away hungry it was definately your fault. The... More

After many years of vacationing in Lancaster County, a family wedding brought us to Rocky Acres. The five of us divided up between my husband and I in the Fireplace Room and the other three adults in the Guest House. The breakfast was delicious and a wide variety of homemade food. It was so good, I purchased the Rocky Acres... More

Our family of four, including 2 young children, visited in September. We arrived at around 8pm since all the roads getting to the farm were closed from hurricane flooding (it would have been nice to have been told of the closings when we called at 3pm). I had called at 3 to say that we would arrive after dark. I... More

"What is all the fuss about Rocky Acre?" We appreciate your question and the opportunity to respond. We are not trying to be more than what we are. We are a dairy farm offering an experience to try milking the cows, feeding the calves, and gathering eggs….and just for fun, we throw in a pony ride, train ride and hay... More

We arrived as a family in August which is their busy season. We were newcomers to the farm after having read good things about it. Like previous posts, there was no one to greet us and we arrived at 3pm in the afternoon. There was a sticky on the front door telling us where our room was. There was a... More

What a wonderful family vacation. Eileen and Galen and the staff are all warm and welcoming. The accommodations are comfortable and inviting. We have been going for years and will continue to make Rocky Acre our family vacation. There are plenty of activities for the children and parents can either participate or relax with a cup of coffee. If you... More

Rocky Acre Farm is one of the best places we ever visited. We spend 6 days/5 nights at the farm. Our children love all the farm activities especially feeding bottles to the bull calves and collecting eggs from the hen house. The breakfast is out of this world! Come with a big appetite. We love the family style breakfast dining... More

Upon arriving at this beautiful, historic farmhouse, I quickly felt the serenity of the area and the graciousness of the hosts. It was our first time, and the Benners have a flexible check-in policy which makes arrival convenient for everyone, including latecomers. When we got there, we entered the front door on the porch, said who we were and the... More
