We stayed in a Quality Inn the night before and had a comparable experience. Staff is nice; hotel decor is stuck in 1976. Rooms need more electrical outlets. Wifi okay. Not a good value for the price.

We attended a wedding reception at the Desmond and it was very nice. The decor is yes- dated- but everything was clean and staffed by some very friendly people. We loved the deck out back nestled in the trees and had a drink at the tables before the reception began. I would estimate about 120 guests. Table seating was comfortable...

Friendly staff at reception. Bar/Restaurant staff very attentive. Tasty breakfast. Clean rooms. But my stars, the decor! Very very very dated, and frankly, loud patterns and generally unattractive. You'll need a vehicle--nothing really in walking distance.
I arrived early morning for a conference and they got me into my room early at no extra charge. Nice facility food good
I have to agree with everyone else on here that labelled The Desmond as "old and scary". It looks like something out of the movie The Shining. If you are looking for something like that then you're in luck, but at these prices I was not impressed. I arrived at the hotel at 2pm and was told the room was...

Just as above. The staff will try to answer any question or address any request. And even smiling while doing so!
Thanks for your review, I too think our staff is exceptional. Please stay with us again.

Nice hotel, if the rooms are somewhat dated, decor-wise. The public areas are wonderfully arranged if you're looking for a place that has nice areas to chill with a small group. The service and the staff were very, very accommodating. The breakfast was so-so. Nice variety but nothing was hot, just warm. And that's how the entire hotel struck me....

I stayed here for part of a girlfriends weekend get away with my best friend in January. Check in was a breeze. We had a very nice, clean room with a balcony. We ate dinner and breakfast at The Hunt Room and oh wow the food is magnificent! And the service from Donna, our server, was top notch! A true...

I attended my sister's wedding and stayed 4 nights at the Desmond. In general, it's a really good hotel. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom had everything you'd expect, the fitness center, while a little small, was pretty good, and the indoor pool / hot tub / cold plunge was a real highlight and a nice surprise. The restaurant was...

The Desmond hotel looks like the perfect set to a hotel horror movie. Although the service is nice, with the exception of one of a blond receptionist who never smiles, the decor and feel of the place is quite eerie.
The reason they get 4 fours is because of the following: The restaurant downstairs, Hunt Room, is amazing. They will...
