When we started looking at different wedding venues, my husband recommended the General Sutter Inn. We met with Jeff Merk, one of the managers and I was sold! Jeff was always willing to offer ideas when needed and made our wedding and reception absolutely wonderful. Through all of the planning he took into consideration what we wanted and made sure... I stayed here for one night on a swing through quaint Lititz, PA. I had been in the inn before for a wedding reception and saw the historically preserved first floor, so I was a bit surprised when I was given a special key at check in to access the 3rd floor penthouse level. (no elevator) I walked upstairs, through... More

My wife and I spend a weekend at the General Sutter Inn in Lititz Pa. To start with everyone we encountered at the Inn, front desk clerks, servers, bartenders, housecleaning, managers, were friendly, helpful and couldn't have been more enthusiastic about the Inn and Lititz in general. Our room was definitely in need of some modernization, but it was clean,... More

If you do not like old places, do not go here. I love old places, so this place is wonderful. Beautiful restored old inn, had wonderful meal in the dining room. The inn is right downtown, so walk around and check out the shops. Staff is great. If you do go, my mom was in the room right above the... More

My husband and I were looking for a new place to spend the weekend. We are fond of "unique little towns" - we hit the jackpot this time! Our adventure started off with an internet search of neat places to stay in unique towns. General Sutter Inn was at the top of the search - we did some other research... More

Back in the Fall, we started looking at different wedding venues. When we visited the General Sutter Inn, and met with Jeff Merk, we knew that's where we wanted it to be. Jeff went above and beyond to make our reception more than what we hoped for. Through all of the planning, he listened, cared about what we wanted, and... More

We recently stayed on the 3rd floor of the General Sutter and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. The rooms are uniquely decorated with stage and sound equipment as a celebration of the touring companies based there. The baths were stylish, and the decor one-of-a-kind. It's fascinating just to explore the common lounge, kitchen, and hall areas. The rest of the... More

The location is marvelous, due to the uniqueness and history of Lititz, PA. The street itself is gorgeous, with one historic building after another. You can feel the Founding Fathers in Lititz which comprises great contrast to the surrounding plain Amish towns. Litiz is all about technology and education for women, unlike Lancaster county. In addition, the main roads are... More

While the room could use updating (peeling wallpaper, dripping faucet, unmade sofa bed and somewhat worn furniture) the location is great for browsing in Lilitz. The staff was very accommodating. Food was only average, more like pub fare, but met our needs. Second floor rooms can be a bit noisy due to 1st floor pub but we brought earplugs and... More

We stayed here over the weekend and was impressed with their new third-floor renovations. It's a very different style than the second floor rooms. The layout was really different and unique. The rooms were very modern, roomy, clean, and QUIET. I liked how the sink was outside the bathroom so you could use it if somebody was in the shower... More
