We have just returned from a nights stay at Anchors Aweigh B&B, we wished we could have stayed longer. You really couldn't ask for anything more from a B&B, spotlessly clean, a good size room, large verandah and delicious breakfast, which can be served on your verandah. Unfortunately it was too cold for the verandah breakfast, so we changed our... More

I concur with all the previous reviewers' glowing comments about this place. Just go there if you want value for money, old-fashioned hospitality, super clean accommodation and a sumptuous breakfast complete with fresh linen tablecloths and homemade fare all served on your own sunny verandah. Nothing is too much trouble for the hosts who have put their heart and soul... More

We spent an extremely comfortable night in this interesting place. The owners are very attentive hosts and have thought of everything guests could ever want. Despite feeling we had entered a museum rather than a B&B (walls and display cabinets full of collectables) we immediately felt very relaxed and enjoyed the cake and biscuits on offer before retiring to our... I must say I would have driven by this place had it not been for trusty Tripadvisor reviewers. I was not disappointed. Stayed in room 5 which had semi-obstructed view but still quite lovely. The room itself was very well appointed and cleaned to a high standard. One small note. There are no 1 usage toiletries, but rather large bottles... More

What a great place. Kerry the host insists in carrying your luggage to and from your room which when you are carrying clothes for a 6 week holiday is well appreciated. The rooms are a good size and are spotless. Athough the weather wasn't great we chose and enjoyed having breakfast on our balcony and many a hotel could take... More

Anchors Aweigh is a truly amazing place to stay, everything is spotless and so very welcoming. Heather and Kerry are a brilliant double act and nothing is too much trouble and they put a lot of care and attention into making sure your stay is so very enjoyable. The choice of food for breakfast is very extensive and the french... More

I have now stayed at this B&B 3 times, and could not recommend it highly enough. The owners Heather + Kerry are so welcoming, it's like coming home! I have stayed at a few other places in the area, and nothing else compares. The rooms are neat, spotless and open onto a balcony with a gorgeous view over the ocean.... More

Anchors Aweigh is a real surprise package. It's an unassuming private house on the outside, and once inside, the hallway and stairs are packed to the rafters with collectibles of all kinds. So I expected the room to be homely and chintzy - but it wasn't! In fact, the room was gorgeous - it looked brand new, with a huge... More

Anchors Aweigh is a lovely place to stay, the rooms are very clean and comfortable with towels changed every day! Our room had a large balcony, where you could have breakfast, (weather permitting) Heather and Kerry, offered an extensive choice of foods for breakfast. As hosts Kerry and Heather were very well organised, thoughful and helpful. Kerry even assisted with... More

Anchors Aweigh is a really interesting place to stay, the huge and varied range of collectibles are interesting and well organised and add a quirky character. The room was clean and comfortable with a nice balcony on which you can choose to have breakfast. Its in a great location within easy walk of town and beach. Kerry and Heather were... More
